H&M code stacking for bargains

I took a dress back (Southampton store) yesterday afternoon and had no probs. I showed them the delivery note (which showed all the discounts etc) and they gave me the full price of the dress back on a grey Merchandise Return Card (like a gift card). They said they'd had quite a few of that particular dress back, which they said they don't even stock instore, just online.

I went to the Southampton store too and got a completely different answer, H&M politics :rotfl:

Received most of my order yesterday via royal mail statement says remainder of order(black & white maxi dress ) will be delivered ends of June got all the money off I was supposed to

That's unfair for them to treat different customers differently - if it's any help it was two young-ish girls who served me, on the ground floor.

BEWARE: If you contact customer services regarding your order (as I did) they will see that you have used these codes and CANCEL them.
They said to me that the codes were specifically for compensation for those whose orders had gone wrong and that I had not been sent them so they cancelled them from my pending order!

Does anyone know if they are allowed to do this? I have complained and said that they made the codes available to be used on all accounts, and so cannot take them off my order when the order was successfully put through in the first place.

Is there any rules etc I can throw at them to get my £15 discount back?

Also has anyone else noticed that the date of their delivery is slowing increasing as they are selling things that are out of stock?? Weird system!

I don't know any rules about it, but as far as I'm concerned they should have created user specific codes if it was meant to be for a select few. All other companies seem to be able to do this - so why don't they? I'd advise you to keep complaining.

Almost had a problem exchanging a dress at the weekend. Bought for £7.49 online, still in store for £14.99 (therefore would have had to pay the remaining £7.49 if i had taken the invoice with me). Decided to exchange without the invoice and claim I had bought it in store. The assistant scanned the return and said it was coming up 'exchange not allowed' (must have been because of the different type tag), she asked if I had bought it online, I said no and she eventually just scanned the new one twice and gave me the exchange. The thing is, when I went to the same dresses in store there were about half which had the 'online' tags anyway so I could have bought it in store with that tag already.

I have a couple of orders that were due to be delivered between 31-3 June and still not been dispatched.
Is anyone else still waiting who ordered couple weeks ago?

My mum ordered only last week and her order is dispatched already.

Yes, ordered about 2 weeks ago and was still pending up until thurs when I got a letter telling me to contact them- re security issues, in other words to find out how I got code. It said if I didnt call in 7 days my order would be cancelled, hence I left it My other order were fine though and my 2nd should arrive today according to hermes. It was just a shame the order cancelled was my daughters summer dresses
