Sweet Treats
although I do reaaaallllllllllllllllyyy like Have Your Cake and Eat It
How did this come about? I used to make celebration cakes as a wee sideline, and have recently been asked if I fancy supplying fancy cakes and pastries and sweeties to a couple of businesses, and am not sure what to do.....I have a vague recollection of you saying something about baking for a shop?

Our village has just opened a Community shop "run by the community" all profits go back into the community, people have shares in it and get a say as to what the money is spent on etc....
Anyway people are encouraged to supply things jams, honey, chutney, surplus GYO veg, cakes etc...No-one does cakes so i'm hoping to take the baton
, you get the ingredients from the shop for free and a credit with the shop for making them phew!!
You have to registar the business with your local council Environmental health who will come and check your "premises".
Thats it

I have visions of a little paper bag, printed with "let them eat cake" and a mini pic of Marie Antoinette's head popping off a guilottine (sp?) although to be fair she never actually said that (but why facts get in the way of good marketing
). Do you think a decapitation will put the punters off :rotfl::rotfl:
OK OK serious head on now.......I like the first one but I also like the second 2, sort of homey, quintessentially English IYSWIM.
Will go and have a think about any more......

The Village Bakehouse would be most likely to tempt me to try the goods.:obargainbird wrote: »Can we have straw poll please i need to think of a name for my business, providing cakes

"Treats" in the name implies I can go without if I try, and anything with "Family" in puts me off, but that's for totally personal reasons.
I do like Let Them Eat Cake, though.:rotfl:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
