Morning all
A beautiful sunny day here
but a tad windy.
I'm off work again today - it's study leave today, I normally get Weds pm to go to uni but as I missed last week's to go to N Wales I get this morning off too
Got more uni work to do this morning before I head in to uni. It's only a drop in session for the lecturers to check over our files before submission next week. I've almost finished my assignment, and have 3 small 500 words bits to go in my teaching file and then I'm done
so pleased I won't have to spend all weekend stressing over finishing it now.
OS wise - not much really. Need to empty bin when I go out. May have a freezer soup for lunch.
I'm off out for dinner with the girls later, not been for awhile just the 3 of us so will be good to catch up (and fill them in on the toyboy
). We are going to try and persuade my friend to go to Bahamas for 10 days for our friend's wedding, wish us luck!! She says her husband will only allow her to go for a week ( don't get me started! he is invited but they can't afford both to come)
Have a good day all

Hello everybody :hello:Well back from IVF scan and it looks like it's game over.....rollocks.....:( My GP has until 12 noon (high noon) to acknowledge the request for my medical records and then I'm on the 'phone.....TBQH they should consider themselves fortunate I'm not ringing a solicitor how they've cocked up ...... Had some bloods done as well but it'll be a flying pig moment if anything comes of that. So as a result I have now scoffed toast and coffee - both of which I should avoid - and am thinking of eating part of the quiche I made last night for tonight's dinner. I get annoyed? I eat.... Apart from that there is some work in my in tray so I might as well crack on. We have been told to consider Donor Eggs but it's a whole emotional minefield that I'm simply not up to dealing with today. In the car on the way home me and OH talked about having a holiday. Not had one for a few of years (and trogging 'round China in search of a total solar eclipse viewing site last time was not that relaxing for some strange reason) and this whole saga has been going on for about 7 years now so I'm in need of a recharge. Who knows we might go somewhere that starts rioting thus giving me change to "let it all out" :rotfl: Apart from that not much else planned. Dinner is already made (quiche and salad and the way I'm feeling oven chips). If I do put the oven on I did have a rather nice surprise finding some veggie sausage rolls in the freezer before so they can go in as well along with the flapjacks I didn't have room for last night. Lunch is hoummus and pitta.....maybe some feta and olives as well. See, eating....
Apart from that I hope everyone has a nice OS day, hugs to all, good luck to the exam crew and I will be making sure that I turn my table lamps on this evening to watch Super Scrimpers
. I may also prefix any sentences with "bread pudding".....
TV show filming Monday to Wednesday - that will keep me distracted like a shiny thing for a few days I'm sure....But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green

Hugs for you Rage in Eden, I am at a loss for words (which is unusual for me) but don't forget that sometimes miracles DO happen. everyone has a story of a wee miracle baby they know of, and although it must be hard to hear about them, you must remember that. In my family we have one who will be two next week. Her parents waited nine years and were rejected for IVF two weeks before her mother discovered she was on her way. A holiday sounds like a good idea, somewhere warm and relaxing where the sun can soothe your mind and ease your aches and pains. xxxIt's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window

Oh Rage I am sorry the scan wasn't positive
hugs hugs for you and I think a nice relaxing holiday sounds JUST the ticket for you guys. Hugs for your H too as I worry sometimes the men can be forgotten about in the whole IVF game xxxx I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Bargainbird thanks for that I will do that in a minute as there are some green shoots. Can't beleive how the kids have gotten excited about growing things. DD sunflowers are shooting up so need to re-pot them so will do that later when she is home from school.
Well it's 11am and i've done nothing. Had to run up to school as DS forgot his lunch bag. Just going to pop out to the shops and I will stick to my list.
Other than than it will be a quick hoover round and do the dishes then my parents are comming over as their off on the holidays tomorrow and I've printed their boarding cards off for them.

Hopping mad as its just started raining heavily and my washing is on the line-it was lovely a couple of hours ago:mad: I'd even got some new pegs :rotfl:
No plans to go out today, but you never know;) .DS2 and I ended up going to look at a house for him yesterday, but it needs a lot of work.Could be made really nice, but at the moment there is nowhere to park,so he's going to check with Highways about making a drive onto the front garden. Also called at Asda, picked up some baby clothes(pink of course
),picked up my prescription sunglasses from Boots, and returned a cardi from Marks.
Lame Wolf- thanks for your kind thoughts & it certainly could be pg hormones making his ex so moody.Lets hope so-she wanted to get back with him 2 weeks ago then changed her mind again. He just doesnt know where he is with her at the moment
I was going to do some weeding in the garden as my neighbour has lent me a hoe,but its all wet now, might get chance to do some sewing this aft instead.
I need to have a look in the freezer for tea-I have fishcakes in the fridge, but not enough to go round if we're all in.
Miecherox- very exciting to be having your own first house-enjoy picking your bits & pieces at Ikea.
Rage in Eden- I'm really sorry your scan didnt go well. You certainly deserve a holiday after all this stress.Lots of hugs x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
