Woo hoo, LL! Great pressie from DS2! Thats really nice
and thanks for letting us know about Tink.
Kay, I'm wondering about stamps - its ages since I bought a load of them like that, but do Superdrug still do promotions, with 5% off? And I've seen people say on here that postal charges are so high, its worth using a courier sometimes. I know its more work to research it ...
LL - don't look at my blog yet! I'm off out for a walk in the sunshine, and then I'm going to do cat-things :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Thanks KC I forgot about superdrug I saw them doing it once years ago I didn't know it was a regular thing.
All I send are letters and large letters atm so its obviously ideal for me to use RM as I just go down the post box :-)
Def a thought for the future though - but as yet everything but my shoes (that I still have) will fit into a letter lol...
I did start listing a few of them recently and sold a few pairs ...need to get rid ><People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -

Ok I'll wait until you give me the head's up.
Had a good day potterng about, even managed a walk and my pilates homework.
Early start tomorrow. "On site" at property 1, they are coming to sort out the meters - they've given me a window of between 12 till 8, so anybody's guess then.
I'll use the time wisely to go through some boxes and do a bit of a clear up - get stuff piled up ready for a few trips to the tip. A bit time consuming but cheaper than hiring a skip.
Have a good week - make lots of money…..0 -
I love this thread. Had a bit of a rough start to the year with the death of one of my best friends but I'm slowly getting back on track.
Had my first lot of royalties from Amazon hit my bank, not a lot but a good feeling anyway. Been working on a few blogs and websites to build up an audience and hopefully start some affiliate marketing.
I'm finally figured out my new project too! Just need to find a decent airbrush and compressor!!0 -
Wow - receiving royalties is fab.
Well done you.
Good luck with the new project.0 -

Small (25L tank) compressors pop up quite often at Aldi for under £100, I haven't looked in detail as they're on the small side for my needs, but most of their power tools have a three-year warranty.0 -
I haven't thought of Aldi, thanks Droopsnoot! LL you are an inspiration to me0

Hello All, just popping in quickly to say hello....rarely get a chance any more with BabyKay being such the attention demanding (but lovely with it!) child that he is.
Funny Evil Queen...I was just this evening thinking about affiliate marketing for the first time ever (didn't really know what it was until this evening) and was sat here pondering it as a potential income stream for me as a stay at home mum. Had put it on my To Do list to look more into it and then popped on here and here you are talking about it. I'm taking it as a sign! And what are your royalties from? (sorry for my nosiness)
Karma, is that how you're making money from your blogs too?
Kayalana, you put me to shame with your successful home business AND two young children!
LL, I emailed you earlier but always good to read your updates on here.
Well, just about every single penny of my savings have been spent on renovating my new house. I don't mind really as it's a great house and I imagine I'll be there for years...decades even...to come now. But. I've spent double what I was hoping to spend on the work which means the savings I was hoping to keep to one side and build up for future property investments no longer exists...So, back to square one savings-wise. But I have very definite goals now and that will keep me focussed.
So a bit more spending on house essentials for me, but hopefully start saving rather than spending again in about 3 months' time.
Hope everyone has a good week.x

Hi RayKay. Its not nosiness, and even if it was I wouldn't mind
My royalties are from a novella I wrote and self published on Amazon. I am halfway through my second one now as well so I'll be publishing that through KDP as well in the next few months.
Karmacat, I'm building up content too! It's a bit of a slog but I like making sure my sites and blogs can link back to each other. Still early days but looking good.
I've just submitted some designs to Cafepress. I 'd love to be able to source the items and make the things myself but I don't have the money or the space for that to be a viable option.
I'm spending the afternoon googling my fingers off looking for old/vintage petrol cans and jerry cans!
FUN FUN FUN
I've also signed up to Elance to do some editing and proofreading work0
