Congratulations LL!!!! It sounds like a wonderfully interesting property - I hope all goes smoothly and speedily. I look forward to seeing some before and after pictures and reading more about your little rough diamond.
I would never have thought to say to a vendor 'if you accept the offer on the property we want the property removing from the market immediately.' I have sooooo much to learn. It also shows - if you don't ask you don't get.
Well I had a productive day yesterday and did all I planned to do except for taking the LO to the park. Hermes was supposed to be collecting some parcels from me between the hours of 8am - 8pm. So... I waited in ALL day and as you can guess... no bloody Hermes.
So I went on the parcel2go website and spoke to a live operator. They apologised and said did I want to book again? - The earliest collection would be Wednesday. I was somewhat miffed, not only was I expected to waste another day waiting in for a possible but not guarenteed collection, my parcels were also going to be dispatched 48 hours later than planned - which isn't good when you're posting to impatient Ebayers.
A little lesson learned for me... drop them off at the collection point instead of waiting around to have the parcels collected. Time is so valuable and time is money... I am not letting anyone else have control of my time again (except family & friends of course. )
Okay today's plans are:
*Open a low-risk ISA for O/H and myself
*Move LO's savings into a better account
*More washing to dry on the line in this lovely weather
*Continue reading the book 'The One Minute Millionaire' - I have only just started it so will report back on the content when I can properly review it.
*Tidy up my lap-top content - delete a lot of unecessary files which are slowing down the processer.
*Chase up £15 refund from Npower.
*Find best value holiday insurance online for son.
*Tidy cupboard under the stairs... hunting out stuff for Ebay, recycling or the local dump. I am pleased to say that our local dump recycles 80% of everything. :T
*Post three small items sold on Ebay.
*Continue redrafting crime book.
*Go shopping for milk and milk only!!!
*Sand and varnish patio furniture.
Right... time for breakfast and a nice cup of organic coffee.
I hope you all have a wonderfully fruitful day.

Hi all
Here is my May update....
May net worth increased by £11.53 - seems i little silly to report such a small change but at least it is going in the right direction....:rotfl:
At the end of May 2013 my net worth is -£9.5k which is £2k worse than when i started this challenge on 1 April 2012.LBM @ 01.01.12 TOTAL DEBT = £13301.77. LH number 320
POAMAYC in 2013 #1 : £54.53/£10159.90
1% challenge - 7% paid off.
DFD @ 31.07.13 is April 2017 (45 months to go!)0 -
That 11.53 is better than me, I made a loss but I have been investing in ideas.
I have a gold digger game website coming out soon and am very early days on a football scores prediction website, both should be fun and provide users with the chance to make some extra pennies whilst playing around!
I have still got 10 days or so to wait for my big payout from Neobux (albeit about $15 worth) so I am debating whether to just plug into Neobux or withdraw and just use my clicking balances for referrals.
Good luck everyone, it seems slow and steady is the way.
If you want an active referral for anything, pm me as I am willing to join schemes and give them a good go for the blog if nothing else.0 -
Well done on the net increase Leictina... every pound is a £1 closer to your financial goals. x
The websites sound very intriguing Toastking (I do have a gambling streak so they do appeal.) However I learnt many years ago... at the end of the day you just cannot win, that is why bookies have three pay in counters and only one pay out counter.
But good luck... I am sure they will do very well.
So what does today hold for me?
*I am working for a couple of hours this afternoon so that will be some extra cash to the savings pot.
*This morning is all tidy up and Ebaying - I find posting on Ebay soooo boring but I better get to like it due to the amount of stuff I have to auction.
*The weather is miserable looking here and a lot cooler than yesterday... was that Summer? I shall be harvesting some lettuce and chives from the garden today for tonight's chicken Wellington and salad.
*I have checked banking, all looks healthy... just can't wait for it to swell more... and overflow with abundance.
*50p on Onep*ll this morning.
*Read through Martin's email this morning and I am planning on taking LO to one of the free farming days out on Sunday.
*I requested my comission cheque from a catalogue today (£22) - it all helps. I have stopped buying from catalogues as their prices are so inflated but I do have a few customers that like to buy from them as they can spread the payments.
*Baking with L/O. Homemade scones and gingerbread men today.
Right I am off to start tidying. Have a great day ladies and gents.

You sound busy.
I'm running around like a lunatic trying to find a decent nursing home for mum, support my dad, visit my oh, and buy a house:eek:
I'm exhausted.....
Regrettably not much time for additional money making as such, but our broker has just saved me about £5k on DS1's mortgage deal so I'm a very happy bunny today.;)
Halifax - 80% LTV 3.19% 2 year fixed, 1% cashback on completion and stamp duty paid. Great deal!!!.
Although the house is technically DS1's we - the boys and - I are all going to live together while DS2 and I continue house hunting. . It's a large rambling 4 bedder so there's plenty of room. It will be like "The Waltons" - "Goodnight Jon Boy".:rotfl:
DS1 will get some help with living costs and DS2 and I will save £650 a month in rent. Win-win. That £650 saved will come in very handy in helping to swell the coffers again.
Over the summer (ha!!) DS1 and I are planning to do a series of car boot sales. The money raised from these will go into "the paint pot" - the decorating materials fund.
It's all coming together nicely...Fingers crossed.0 -
Best of luck! Keep us posted.0

Wow you do a lot!
The plan with the websites is to make it so that people can play for free, I want to create ways to make money, not to lose it.
My problem right now is a developer quoted me $800 but more likely to rise to $1200 for the ammendments project to make that part happen, so I am in the process of a rethink. Any developers on here wanting to maybe tee up a project or 5 with me, pm me too as I have ideas aplenty.0 -
Hi I normally lurk but was just wondering if anyone would like to refer me to one poll ?
