If we removed the spam from this thread, we could probably fit what's left onto the back of a postage stamp.
  • Back in europe I remeber having hired Vanessa Gayle as she is a certified CV writer. she was helpful and the CV pretty but... it could not pass any scanning system. the document was very nice but totally unreadable to any recruitment database, so a recruiter told me months after :( if i have a pro, I expect this person to know it...
  • Did anyone actually come up with a CV writer who is half decent and doesn't cost the earth.

Spam will get deleted even faster from this forum if people are stupid enough to put referral codes in as well......

Any 'recommendations' for paid services from brand new members of this forum are likely to get deleted. Don't say I didn't warn you!
I'm the Board Guide on the Matched Betting; Referrers and Jobseeking & Training boards. I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly, and I can move and merge posts there. Board guides are not moderators and don't read every post. If you spot an illegal or inappropriate post then please report it to [email protected] (it's not part of my role to deal with this). Any views are mine and not the official line of MoneySavingExpert.com.

  • I've gotten suggestions from others and their CVs online. I have also spoken with services and found their advice to be pretty good - never paid for it though.

Just thinking a professional would be able to put something together much better than a simpleton like me..:D

Was looking at a local recruitment agency who had someone in the office offer a CV writing service, wasn't much money (£35 ish if memory serves me) and thought they might be worth a shot.

Typically know cant remember the damn name.

Nope, cos I've always done my own. I did google 'free cv service' though, and some of those looked good. (I might include the word 'UK' as some previous searches have brought up quite American looking presentations.)

  • Hi, Ive been altering my cv, only got two interviews in four weeks, so feeling a little disappointed as its format has always got me interviews before, titles are bold and underlined and its two pages in length. I cant shorten it any further. Ive just copied and pasted it here without too much personal detail.

Do I need to re-hash it. Im in finance. Thanks for the suggestions.:D
