Well done from me too skint.

Just wanted to say be cautious about bundling up pensions into one as you can lose rights which will be valuable later, like a guaranteed minimum payment. Have a look at martin's guide and check your t & cs for each pension pot.

  • Sorry got my figures wrong regarding the 99p thing on ebay.

If you have say a pair of trousers that cost £70(gardor brand) last year when you bought them and only used them once. What would be your suggestion on selling them? Do you put them in with a min price or as an auction? I have not got a clue here.
What if I have ink cartridges for a printer and they normally cost say £30 but I have got rid of the printer. What would you sell it for and how?
Thanks for all your advice on who to sell things. I will set up the auctions to end on either Fri Sat or Sun.
I really appreciate the help here as I am dumb when it comes to selling on the internet.

I am now looking at the contents of my house with £ signs on them!!

This makes me a little  as I will not purchase for myself, saving the one or 2 nice pieces for the 2 primary occasions where you would need nice underwear - one of which is going out where you could end up in hospital, thus requiring nice underwear or being disowned by your mam.

Tonight my beauties, I shall have wine a hot bath and do some ebay.

The life of the Fabulous Frugalista is never dull...

I wish everyone who thought they could end up in hospital would wear nice knickers..............not particularly important if you have stubbed your toe, but coming in to have a baby..............

I've seen more grey and darned knickers than you can possibly imagine:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

Hope the wine, the hot back and ebay went well my Fabulous Frugalista ;).

  • There is brass, apparently. This however, is not the case. Sometimes, its just mucky. :D

This applies quite often to DD2 bedroom. I wouldnt mind, but periodically, when I can hear the dust bunnies growing teeth I take myself in there, with dettol spray, a hoover, a mop bucket filled with foamy santitary smelling boiling hot liquid and a fair smattering of enthusiasm and optimism.

If DD2 is in attendance and assisting, the entusiasm and optimism dissipate as quickly as an alka seltzer, and I have a feeling like indigestion in the pit of my stomach. This feeling we mothers know well, and it is our very life essence dying in the face of teenage ness.

I know I need say no more...

However, I am about to employ a new tack, nay, three new tacks. We all know of bribery (the one which works with husbands) we all know of stick (that can work with husbands unless they like stick) and we all know about carrot (it depends whether we want this to work on husbands) but all three together might just work on the stubborn little rat which is DD2.
Bless her, shes 11 and already 5 foot 4 so taller than DD1, and she hasnt even had the growth spurt yet, but shes still a little rat to me.

    My plan is this.

She needs to get her cleaning up done. This includes the downstairs bathroom, her bathroom of choice and she leaves stuff everywhere, once a week, I require her to remove all her bits and put them away, and wipe around. This can be done first.

I need her to empty her big toy wicker basket and sort it. Christmas is coming fast and as she spends half her weekends with her dad and 2 nights a week at grandparents for tea she needs to get her stuff sorted.

Bribery: I will offer to take her clothes shopping for Christmas gear on the weekend of the 26th, if all my requirements are met three days before that date. I will make a schedule.

Stick: I will not allow her to go to the cinema with her friend if she does not meet my requirements three days before that date.

Carrot: I will allow a sleepover in the run up to Christmas, if she behaves... :A

This might work and it might generate more ebay listings, haha.

Ive a load to list already but need to keep it going. You know how it is! And right now its great that I had an additional 60 quid to use.

I have been looking about at cars. This has been more of a Hmm yes, that is a car approach.

I am thinking volvo at the moment. I dont really want to go get one this week, as I want to do nice Christmassy things with the family, and to be blunt I want an eyebrow wax (special offer, a fiver).

This takes some doing with a small boy and a teenager. And dont mention DH, but he starts making lists of herbs we need to buy and other such randomness, and this can delay setting off significantly. Sometimes I wonder if he fell off the special bus.

DD1 appeared last night, she checked out the dress I have for her graduation and it got a thumbs up.

Its just a pain in the bot the Ex H will be there.

He is a pain in the backside, especially over DD2. Hey I am allowing her to go with him for his auspicious caraven new year trip. But he cant have her all day Xmas day. NO way.

Some people just want it all.
So last nights plans fell on their a**e a bit. DD1 appeared and DS showed off to her, I showed her a frock and DD2 was doing homework. DH came in ( I didnt collect him,) he did the meal.

DD1 had a bit of it and then went home (she was cooking for her BF) and Ds and DD2 had shenanigans. These included tortilla chips and rolling on the rug. I took the opportunity to photograph some ebay.
DD2 was reticent to get a shower, so I shoved her in there a little before bedtime. This was 9pm, and I had accomplished very little. Just a bit of washing and some photographs.

So tonight my aim is to be better organised and to get some listings into turbolister, ready for tomorrow.

DD2 will be at her grans, and I am collecting her at half 7, then its three prongs time!

    :rotfl:

  • Lunchtime today was one of those grey days, when you think the summer was never here.
    I miss the sunny days.

Drew out the coal money and had a nice walk with DH. Had to purchase lunch due to extended visitations from DD1 and general mayhem from my remaining spawns.

Finishing early tonight and posting many ebay parcels!

I know how it is. I have to look like this. Its money I would not have otherwise.

It is a gamble really do you pay to list at an expensive price (check out completed listings and see what the going rate is) or get a free listing for 99p. I tend to do the 99p one, unless its a twice worn coat or something.

Start small, use lots off descriptors in your titles and remember its money you wouldnt have had.

I have to get listing apace, I love the extra mullah!
