Armed with a cuppa brewed in the office - not bought from the canteen, just eaten a banana and packet of crisps from home, I feel like a paragon of frugal virtue.
:-)
You are a paragon of frugal virtue:cool:.
Love the sound of the chicken dinner - seeing as you are in Bonnie Scotland, I'll swing by the Co-op and you do the cooking:p.
Also, think I might pinch the logic of comparing all amounts of money in terms of fiat or ferrari:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.
Enjoy Bonnie Scotland - we are all frugal by nature up here :money:.LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

It's flippancy like that which will get you in trouble:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.
In response to your question re F&Fs - by the time you get to a point where they are considering a F&F you have usually at least defaulted. If you are up to date with payments or just missed a few they are unlikely to consider a F&F.
I suppose what I am trying to say is its not the F&F which screws your credit record - they usually mark your file partially settled. It's what has happened to get you to the point where they are considering F&Fs that get you into trouble!:DLBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

:pMIT - Hello! Glasgow was nice yesterday, weather stayed bright and breezy.
Would have loved a cuppa but was busy as from 5.10am and got back in the house after the meeting and drive at 8pm. Maybe next time haha.
Heating is a concept in my house, not an actual. haha. :money:Am glad gargrave sorted your f&f question, shes bang on the money. The only thing they may do if you settle a loan early without defaulting is recalculate your interest, so rather than a f&f offer you request an early settlement figure. But people please correct me if I am wrong!
Eeh gargrave definately frugal, there wasnt even a sandwich on offer. I had taken up my own rice salad so I was ok!
DF - I was so debtbusting yesterday I was using my smartphone to make more teensy payments while travelling, it all helps!!:A
Both Gargrave and DF, did the postie bring you anything good?? These things need to be known :rotfl::rotfl:
Beanie, that sounds a good offer, may get a basket of goodies for DD1 and DD2 plus one of the sister in laws can be sorted out.
I will peruse. :T
Well, Ive some stuff to report. Firstly I think my head is in more of a mess than I would care to admit. My poor husband is used as a hug machine and a whipping boy. But I shall get an emergency appointment, and just keep swimming. (Thats all a bit embarrassing for me, I feel silly.)
Secondly, I got more tax credits than I was expecting yesterday, so I left some spare cash in my account to tide us over, and made more payments. It all helps. Especially as a girl in the office is getting married and I have to pay in to a collection and go for the celebratory meal.
Lloyds are due to payout from the PPI issue, thats due from the 13th to the 16th. Then Ill have some in reserve and some against debts.
Monday I have the child benefit due in. I will need to get DD2 a pair of shoes, and put aside a teeny amount as "cash" the rest against my bills.... Tuesday is Child maintenance day, my council tax is due out on the 16th, so I will allow for that and the rest against the bills.
I am so pleased I know whats coming in and whats going out. I am well on course to get a bit ahead with paying the bills this month and it bodes well for next month and the months after. :T:T:T
Today I am taking a half days time off in lieu, going to lunch with colleagues - then off to aldi with OH and DS, then picking DD2 up from school.
Onwards onwards.
My debts are crumbling in the face of my debtbusting wrath this week!!!Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Sounding like a bit of a dominatrix with the old bank account SBO!
God help your creditors!!!
We have around £550 in our account - pretty much things are tight. I don't think there is a great deal pending before my next bank payment and hubby's wages next week - but don't want to make too many extra payments and leave us short. On the plus side my nice big Sainsburys shop means we have nice meals to do until I leave on Monday. After that its every man for themselves.
Drawing up a list of anticipated Oz costs, to see where I can realistically budget these in.
As for the postman - well its a lengthy post for one letter so you will have to check out my thread. xx JulieLBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Yeah I really NEED to do that 30k target as soon as possible.
I did mr sainsburys last week, not biblically mind you. Mr aldi gives me that continental flavour I crave and hes cheap for a fill in. Hes being done today, but quickly as DD needs collecting.
