Just looking for inspiration and another push.Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Right I have sorted myself out with a challenge. As well as all the other malarky, I will shift Vodafone as fast as is humanly possible.
Ive set it as one debt in 100 days but I aim to get it done by the middle of next month. Then its gone from my credit report.
After that, I will another one of those challenges, with £500 chunks off the credit cards I think.Trying to shift that debt!0 -

Think I can do the no toiletries with you beanie.
Not that we are encouraging whiff - o - rama but just using whats there.
Might need some shampoo but no soap or shower gel or anything like that
Plan for this week / weekend:
1. Keep on top of the laundry, little and often...
2. Ebay listing in Turbolister. Im away with work Thursday north of the border so Dh will need to list them for me. Wont be in til late.
3. find more ebay listings by decluttering at home and at the other house. Theres definately some wardrobe doors there. declutter 2 hours at each.
4. Tidy the other house. List the work to do.
5. Clean through (hoover wipe mop) both houses.
6. Baking etc - scones, cake, pie and a meal and a frozen meal.
Im feeling like I need to get something done but feel like I cant!
I have also stopped smoking. That money is going to be used to help out with debts too.Trying to shift that debt!0 -

Well its just little bits.
.
And hello MC! x
I want DH to create a master list and can start and get the odd item off it for people for Christmas. then its not so financially crippling.
Its frightening.Trying to shift that debt!0 -
:jon the stopping smoking. I used to smoke about 30 a day and stopped about 8 years ago. Best thing I have ever doen. Good on you. I do the 100 day challenge too and do it in chunks of £500. That's total overpayments on my debt. I dont count my normal payment in that. Each time I manage it I knock 2/3rds of a month off of my dfd so that is a real bonus
. Motivating......oh yes definitely.
5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42
Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.000 -
Seems this is the way to go.
So... September challenges. Pay bills early (put money aside for childcare rent etc to help out at end of month)
Money for Disneyland paid as Extra on credit card. Vodafone as part of the 100 day challenge. Ebay money 50% to help with the above, 50% to my emergency fund which I am desperate to have.
Car broke down last night in the works car park. Was so upset.Got a lift back to my village and eldest daughter took me to pick my son up.
Its time to save up for a car. Watch this space, DH and I are currently discussing.
I dont want any more credit, so it will be a make do for now.
Did some washing and ironing and we hoovered and tidied up, we didnt get anything decluttered though.
Also made the tea, which I had already mostly prepared.
Am still not smoking. I should feel a million dollars but I am feeling rank.
Haha. That 42 pounds a week will get me a hell of a car. I am going to save the 42 pounds a week into my car fund!Trying to shift that debt!0 -
£42 a week is a lot of money to save. Well done.

Hey up hun
I'm back and just caught up - as always you have me laughing out loud lol.
I am with you on the new car fund - I have worries mine won't last past Winter
For me it's the balance of having x amount to spend on new car or throwing it at debt....Neither has won yet!
You are sooooo organised it's unreal - I can be when I am in frame of mind so hoping to follow suit soon!
xxxDebt - CCV £3792
