  • Sold some ebay for 3.80 last night, big bucks! Got 20 pounds worth ending tonight - it all helps. No one has paid yet and the collector will pay cash on collection.

Have paid a pound off vanquis, both quidco money of 25 pounds and my expenses are en route however none have appeared in my account as yet. My child support was around 50 pounds light this month too.

My husband has blown his food budget as he was swept along in our decadent week, haha, so I will be propping that up rather than attending to the business of paying the cards, and I find it a little peeving but not the end of the world.

At the end of the day I will be sorting it, and the light is still at the end of the tunnel. I am at work and still very low, have been suffering with chest pains and I think its nothing but the husband is insisting I make a doctors appointment. Ive probably just pulled a muscle.

Once quidco clears in I will update totals and pay some more bits and if anyone pays ebay that would be grand, and I can feel like I am debt busting rather than debt fire fighting.

Did a few paper logs last night but didnt get home til late AGAIN as I had DS at the GP. Poor soul seems to have had one virus after another since October. I also have a couple of bundles of t shirts from DS to list on ebay, so heres hoping for a free listing weekend.

  • Ok evening update before footy:
free potty training set and pantliners sent off for (bit of a theme there) and I have tidied up and sorted some washing. I ahve also photographed 5 lots of ebay and I have despatched a collected item.

So a bit more positive today!

  • Feeling rather tired but really looking forward to the weekend. Three ebay items paid for and will sort them to post. Money from Quidco cleared in and both of those added to my sig.

Minimum payments met on what needed meeting.

My work expenses cleared in, and that is much better. Weather is a little grey and miserable but thankfully much warmer.

Got some travel in the next couple of weeks which should be good. All the extra money helps.

  • Morning all x

Spent the weekend in a flurry of activity, my much loved paper log making of course, and ebay listing - proud to declare 100 ebay items are now listed free from the weekend - and already I have bids up to 19.99. I didnt manage any questionnnaires or freebies, purely because I was so ebay centric. I shall try and do a little every day moving forwards.

DS was poorly, he was at the GP Friday afternoon and he was diagnosed with an ear infection and given antibiotics. Saturday morning we discovered that there was a new development and goo was leaving his ear at speed. It was messy and sticky and he remained unwell until Sunday evening when he thought it would be a great idea to act like a ninja. He also took a mega huff at bedtime. He went so far as to get out of bed, slam the door and stand with a pet lip and his arms folded. For good measure, he picked up a pack of baby wipes and threw them down on the floor while saying "humph!"
I did try to tell him off, but his trout pout and folded arms made him look like a minature petulant gangster rapper, and it was too funny. I know he wasnt that tired as he had slept most of Friday and Saturday but that wasnt really the point!! So funny.

DD2 returned at 6pm Friday from her sojourn in the lake district with her dad and his partner. From what we heard it had been a mixed bag and it seems her dad had encountered some of her more choice behaviours which we have been subjected to in the past few weeks. However if you put a 13 year old girl in a campervan with 2 loved up adults and 2 boys age 6 and 5 it is not really lending itself to fun times.

They did trips out including steam trains and zoos and basically the little ones seem to have spent great swathes of time falling in mud, getting mud on DD , and due to a lack of planning by loves young dream they had no spare clothes for the kids and trips were spoilt on a couple of occasions.

Then last night after 2 days of thank god I am home DD2 reverted to complaining about not being able to sleep and regularly came into our room to complain at the fact. She blamed everything and we eventually took her hamster off her, her phone and netbook, and this morning we swapped phone for ipod, as shes back at school and its necessary to be in touch. DH and I have made a decision to purchase a basic phone handset so when she is punished shes contactable but cant spend time perusing facebook and other rubbish.

DD1 returned home from Barcelona with the gift of ham. I made the joke (which I am proud of)
*sings* "Jamon, jamon, jamon, jamon, hope you like jamon too..."
Basically the whole lot thought I was off my tree. She had a mixed bag of a time which is ok because she will now appreciate what she has at home.

DH and I have been frugal and will be looking at where we went wrong this month by using a spending diary and reviewing it week on week.

Home made broth and chili and bolognese were consumed over the weekend. We didnt go out as DS was ill and we discussed plans for the garden.

    I am having potato city!

    That news shall follow soon!!!

  • Potato city????

By the way your son sounds like my ds2. He does things when throwing a tantrum that make me want to laugh and i'm usually stood there trying my hardest not to giggle and a few times i've failed! He gets even angrier though if i do this and then makes me laugh even more. Oopsy!

  • My car is the most broken car which still runs I have ever encountered. It is now so broken that I am merely running the tread from the tyres now and I will then have to replace it. How will I fund this venture? Blasted if I know. I need someone with the skill of Delia to cook my books, and I am sure my [STRIKE]tat [/STRIKE] quality ebay items wont attract car purchasing money. So what to do? What Indeed? There is only one answer create potato city!

Potato city isnt the stuff of legend. Its mentioned in an episode of Peppa Pig (I am so rock n roll) as a place Daddy pig would like to visit. To my family it is the reclaimed now level piece of ground which is remaining once the major shed groundworks have taken place. What to do with an unturfed level area of freshly turned soil? Make it look like it was done "on purpose" and have a vegetable patch until after the extension is done and the garden landscaped next spring.

Due to my keenness at doing potato city last night I did a little ebay packaging and also some cleaning and tidyingbut not alot. I didnt manage any surveys at all. The weather is looking a little inclement tonight so I will probably give the house a good clean just to keep it right.

I think another good moneysaving thing will be getting my boy potty trained. He is so reticent and seems too busy for it but I think I need to really chivvy him along and do more encouragement with it so will offer bribes.

Ebay is still at 19.99 - drunks and dancing girls in short supply obviously.

Payday on Friday so will be paying a meaningful amount to debts.

Having to sit at month 30 next month too I imagine. The 30 month plan is on hold for 2 months. I am not calling it the 32 month plan though, month 30 shall just extend until I can make up ground!! This is because my child support is reduced by 60 pounds a month as my ex husband has spawned another child, this time from a one night stand. Hes such a flash get that women do go for him with his 2 posh cars and his Hugo Boss suits and whatnot. Meh, I dont care- he will end up with VD or bankrupt through paying child support to most of the country.

Tonight, potato city if the weather allows. Cleaning, mopping, ironing etc. Will do freebies on my afternoon break and at least one survey tonight. Definately!!

  • Peppa Pig is awesome! I love all the little one liners like Miss Rabbit's "Oh no, there's a bull in my china shop" when Mr Bull walks in :rotfl:

    Good luck with potato city.

    :( to your ex Xx

  • Yes its a hoot!!

My ex husband is just a twit. He is of no consequence unless he is upsetting the girls which is regularly. I am merely inconvenienced by his latest progeny!.

I need to come up with a methodology for making money and I know my first port of call must be sorting the other house out and getting a tenant. In the meantime though there must be some other things I can do.

    Argh.
