You did the right thing going to the dr's, accept any help you can get, its all about getting the balance back!
You inspired me to list on ebay last week, just one item and it sold for £60, I have some more bits put by and might list tonight based on the wed to wed listing so :kisses3: very much!
Aww thanks. delighted about your ebay, love the money for old rope. xx:D

And the mother in law is planning an epic bbq on Saturday.
However, the rotten weather can remain for Friday night, as thats the night out, for the colleague who didnt invite me.
In fact, I am kind of hoping there may be a small disturbance in the town centre that night, haha. just enough to put the wind up.
Anyway, I have chased up the PPI reclaim last night, and have nothing to report, and should be getting a call today. If I have not received a call by 2pm I shall ring them myself. I just want to know what to expect.
The CSA have also texted, the remaining balance to the correct amount was released this morning so that should hit my account on monday. The first payment should be in on Friday, so that can start being allocated as per my list.
The paypal transfers hit my bank account today, so I have sorted the finances (as per my lists) and am looking forwards to the next monies coming through - Tax credits, due tomorrow. CSA, Friday,
Monday, child benefit and CSA, plus paypal payments randomly dropping in.
Apart from that had very little sleep *again* Ds and those teeth!
Will be helping DD1 move house tonight and will also be packaging ebay and doing half an hour of ironing.
Todays ebay sales are at £30, which is good.
Its one of those days where you just feel Ugh!
Time for a cuppa tea. :rotfl:Trying to shift that debt!0 -

Im also going to celebrate each and every one of those dates passing.
Starting my default / ccj free journey too. Its a wonder I get offered any credit!
Mind you, do they have less impact the longer they are on your fileTrying to shift that debt!0 -
I didn't think you could get any credit with that kind of info on file? All we have tried for are contract phones which we got.
I am still debating on whether it is worth trying for a credit card to start rebuilding the rating, but then do I really want credit again - not really. One small step for ME, one giant leap for my family!

No, I get offered some, oddly, but for the past year I've been good as gold. I'm just baring all, and can start looking forwards to them going while building better habits!Trying to shift that debt!0

I was thinking about a prepaid, cash builder, start to rebuild your credit file, which they advertise on this site. Reason being. I have no intentions of getting a proper credit card. I cannot be trusted with it. But I would like my credit history in better shape, just for my own piece of mind. I would be nice to be all sorted and have a clean credit file.
At the moment I cannot get anything on credit. Having said that I have never tried for a couple of years. I have read on MSE that all applications for credit go on your file.

SBO its good to get all out in the open isn't it. Its so much easier to bare all to MSE friends, as they know exactly how you feel and can empathize. I hate it that my family think I cant manage my own money............which I have not in the past years.
My mam has bailed me out lots of time, I have always paid her back every penny but it makes me feel so inadequate.

Thanks for the support neverlearn and youareallhelpingme. I do get offered credit but I dont take up on it, and I have small credit cards of the bad credit variety which I use and repay.
DH has a credit card, and we reduce the balance of that month on month, while he still uses it.
Well last night had little sleep again. Ive been really careful with the money which has come in today, paying towards the minimum balances of the creditcards so they are sorted before the holidays and can be topped up once we are back, and making sure money is available for some standing orders which are due to prevent any more mistakes.
I am meant to hear about the PPI in 2 weeks, so have a memo set up to give them a call then, and can pursue it.
Helped DD1 move in to her house last night and managed to package up more ebay, but failed on the ironing front.
Ive another to package today, have transferred another 30 pounds to my bank account which will come in handy.
My next sales finish on sunday but they are low value compared to last week, things are standing so far at about ten pounds but there is plenty of time.
Feeling fine about things today, and am glad to have bared all. In four years not only will I be debt free, I will also have rebuilt my credit file and be able to mortgage, and then focus on getting mortgage free!
All things being equal, tonight after I have packaged the remaining ebay, I will iron and have a little tidy, and look forward to a half day tomorrow, when I will take DS for a jaunt.
May pick blackberries, and make a pie! If DH will let me forage!Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Well for the first time ever I looked at my credit file, its not good but better than I expected.
I need to do DHs too as what I saw on how they note things may change the order of my targets. It also highlighted 3 potential cards to rebuild credit which I am thinking about trying on 1 of them, to use perhaps for online shopping and pay off each month.
I have also applied for a business account today. Unsure how these things are affected but I don't want an overdraft or loan so there must be a bank out there so I can just do money in and money out hopefully lots more in than out.
One small step for ME, one giant leap for my family!

Oh thats good news then, who did you check with ? I really should have a look at mine. I did check it about 3 yrs ago. Its wasn't too bad then, but a lot has happened since then.
