Its a new month, so pinch and a punch everyone:j.
A little bit of drama at Skint Towers last night. Mr Skint and I got home (car smelling of burning rubber again) to some letters on the mat. On opening, I was greeted with a standard letter stating that my payment had been refused by the bank and that I had charges on my loan account. I knew this had come out of my bank. We had a bit of angst until I could speak to someone when I was informed it was an error and I had the charges refunded. I am overpaying and in actuality am actually 6 months ahead.
My beef is now that they have (swiftly) reported this to the credit reference agencies as a late payment. A blot on my copybook I dont need at all! I got the alert at about 6 today. This better not scupper my mortgage advance in 6 months time, dont they know I am being good as gold? I am going to write a strongly worded complaint and tell them its up to them to get it removed, plus I will have to write to all the credit reference agencies and make sure the note is on my file. How bloody infuriating.
My mortagage payment has been made. Thats one down, 239 to go. Once I have cleared my expensive debt I shall overpay it anyway. It will be my next thing. so thats 273 / 48756 done! I could put it in my signature. Haha. I might do to remind me that there is more debt than my 25!
I didnt do any surveys last night as I did the ironing. I also didnt do any paper logs. I also helped DD with her homework, it was the rock cycle, and a topic I particularly enjoyed.
I am going to be back on track with housework and stuff, and I will not be making any payments today. I am gathering my emergency funds first.
Ebay is still sitting at 10.86. Many items still have a long way to go. As its the first of the month the 99p items can be relisted. I do try and use up my free 99p listings plus my free 100 listings weekends. I try not to pay to list, as I pay final value fees and stuff and Im trying to cut my costs.
Had hoped for a no spend day but I will not manage that. I need some salad stuff for tea tonight and some wine to go with it.
Also picking up my prescription and paying the associated charges. Its pricey being ill.
I will do some surveys tonight! I promise. I also need to get caught up with some of my jobs before the weekend.
Busy time.
Taking DD to the GP to check her eczma later. I also have found a hole in my legging. I wear these things alot but as I am being frugal I cant get anymore. Instead its going to be stick a stitch in and pray its invisible.
Im so classy in my charity shop shirt and leggings at work today. :j
I will update my Sig.
Oh also Ive got a couple of deadlines I want to clear debts by. Lets see how I go. Getting those 2 out the way would be amazing and before the end of the year is doable. Bring it on!Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Hey Skint. Whoppee to Friday :j Im on holiday but still :j
Wow, that was a post and a half, you sound like you are on form. Well done on the mortgage payment, always good to get the 1st one out of the way.
You Friday sounds super busy, make sure you remember the wine
So the cleaning is ongoing here at a rate much slower than i would like, but I am also running here there and everywhere as well as catching up with friends/family so all good.

Princess, I have remembered the wine my lovely.
Scores on the doors: ebay still on 10.86 (where are my drunken bidders?) have done some comps and am about to do some surveys, and Ive cleaned the upstairs windows.
We might have to whistle for paper logs today. But surveys we shall do!
Sent off for 3 freebies including cat food, and also entered 4 comps.
Owt fer nowt!
Onwards onwards xxTrying to shift that debt!0 -
Enjoy the wine. We are off to the chippy shortly. Sod the diet.
EBay up to 8.98A a BIN gone for 25 :jOut of all my items up for sale someone has bid on a gillet toiletry bag!!

Ebay up to 24.41, and a couple of drunken bidders later and my pay my cards right idea is paying off.
I decided, I would rather like a holiday to Bora bora. This is the real realm of fantasy as for 4 of us it would cost 27k, for a fortnight. Haha, I shall continue with the dream, the reality is I cant even consider a fortnight in Kefalonia as its out of my reach.
Got some really good post ... a cheque from Global test market. So excited, I will pay that in tomorrow. I shall be paying that against cards.
Minimum payment is made on 2 of my cards, and its only the first week of the month.
Spent Saturday after littleuns football, working on the other house. My parents in law had the kids but as they are away this week in the Carribean I will ask my parents to babysit and maintain my momentum.
I need to get some wood chopped in my garden, tidy my garden and do some jobs there on an evening as my weekend is a catch up exercise / get ready for the week ahead thing - and grabbing quality family time of course. Also not to forget the batch cooking, log making (currently on a log making break haha) and general get with the program.
And Princess, a chippy tea is the stuff of the gods.
the diet will still be there tomorrow, trust me I know.xTrying to shift that debt!0 -
We had a chippy tonight and it cost £14 . Wouldn't be so bad but I just threw half of it in the bin. No more take aways until I can afford to throw stuff in the bin . Little sh^ts5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42
Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.000 -
Another day, another dollar. All you lot and your decadent chippy teas! I feel jealous. Although its such a shame a treat like that went in the bin MIT! I hope yours didnt go the same way princess. You can afford it if your toilet bag fetches any more bids.
Talking of bids, ebay is onto 24.41. Ive paid another 32.26 onto cards and debt today, which is the value of the cheque which I am paying into the bank later. My ebay is all ending later this week and more payments shall be made. I am kerbing my enthusiasm and I am making appropriate payments. Making sure I hit my minimum payments and making sure I overpay on other things. I am absolutely determined to get rid of vanquis as soon as possible and I have given myself to the end of the year but my master plan is to get rid of it sooner.
If I pay 330 per month to it - it will be gone by December. Anything over that and bobs your uncle.
I am really going to knuckle down to it and get that sorted.
The husband and I are looking forwards to our next lot of work at the other house. We will be sanding down and preparing surfaces to paint. Meantime, back at the ranch I shall be having fair weather and foul weather plans. Hopefully can make a start with the garden and tidy out the car etc, and then there is the upstairs loo and some more sorting and tidying.
Ive also got to start my windows again. Thats how I roll!
I also have some more ebay I can photograph and list on a (hopefully) free listing weekend. I can also make a concerted effort to try and prep the listings in advance like last time, as that was a real bonus and we are so busy on weekends.
So my evenings will be busy and add to that the paper log duty which is back in full flow tonight and lighting the fire, washing and ironing and we wont have much time. Also later in the week will be the ebay packaging duties and "catch up" ironing.
I think I need to plan this out like a military operation!
Hope you are all having a lovely Monday.
I also hope my ebay takes off like a rocket.Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Ebay is rocketing up, 27.30 in the right direction!Trying to shift that debt!0

Ebay up to 27.74, cheque paid in and I am on my lunch. Ive worked out if I continue my austerity for 18 months (this is severe austerity mind) I can clear about 12 grand of debt in that time- if i continue for 2 years I doubt I will have any debt left, but that assumes I wont need a new car or any holidays or to celebrate much of Christmas....Trying to shift that debt!0

Ebay up to 28.24 and I came home to a letter stating empty houses attract 150% council tax, a spur to get that house SORTED AND LET OUT!!!
I am still on course to realise my dreams. I just need to get over the next 12 months.Trying to shift that debt!0
