positive things I have done this afternoon...
1. Planned my work for the week. Meetings and managing them. We are crawling towards the time of year when projects grate to a shivering hault for a while, before the mad frenzy of spending before financial year end resumes. So am steady away.
2. Spoke to a mortgage person about my husbands mortgage and we are in negotiations about that. Possible financial release, cheaper rate and good term.
3. Made an enquiry of british gas. In our newly owned house there is a electric key meter, not put in at my behest I tell you. I want to take advantage of direct debits etc and not have to top up the blummin key anymore. So im asking for a change to a credit meter.
4. Work sent out a competition and I entered it straight away.
Checked the free stuff email too, will be sending off for all the samples etc.

Well I went to the nephews school play last night and it was really good.
I am heading for an appointment today with a mental health practitioner and I doubt they will say I am mentally healthy, but I am making sure I am in the best place to deal with what life has to throw at me.
No wine last night. I had tea and coffee, so perhaps I might be better served with some fruit juice or water to drink. It wasnt a normal night anyway with being out of doors for most of it so the real test will be this evening following my mental probing.
Also got to get into work early tomorrow and leave a little early as my daughter isnt very well at all. She is niggling on with bits and pieces and she does need to lose weight but I need to make sure shes in the best place to be well. She has already lost a bit of weight and I want to make sure she continues into the winter.
Moneywise there is nothing happening. No sign of child support as yet and my husband is not sending me much via ebay. I have just covered my bills. Food wise we are sorted for the week. By the time though that I post the ebay stuff my cash will have gone and I have nothing on cards.
Nevermind, onwards and upwards.
Will just scrimp along and manage.Trying to shift that debt!0 -
The plot thickens. been doing some investigating.
The letter from Lloyds - incidentally on Lloyds headed paper, while I was doing some routine internet searching, seems to originate from Blair, Oliver and Scott in Falkirk. What is going on? I think I need to speak to the ombudsman again. I am going to email him and tell him of my investigations.
I am having a really off day today.Trying to shift that debt!0 -
More hugs and hope they listen to you properly at your appointment hun.

Thanks Princess and long time no type! x
Appointment went very well thanks and today I feel empowered and slightly better off.
Paid a little off Amex, nearly at the 400 pound mark.... paid a little off my credit card, as I got a teeny amount of tax credits in. Also had an issue with an item I got off ebay and I wanted a partial refund and the seller to admit I had a point. They would not so I got a total refund of the sale price plus postage. I shall contact the seller and send them some of it, its not the result I wanted. I wanted them to agree with my view but they got a little nasty with me.
Nevermind...
Bestest news of today is about my husbands mortgage. He is under a review as his is up in November. The new mortgage not only allows a 6000 equity release which we can use to clear expensive borrowing and start sorting the house out and upgrade the car to something without a permanant warning light.
So yipee.
This is all in progress.
Apart from that got a solicitors letter and they want 250 pounds to start my searches. I dont have that amount of cash BUT I will ask the husband to write a cheque and then post date it til payday then they have the instruction and the payment in hand.
Other ebay news, the person from Bulgaria would not pay. Boo hiss. Dont they want my quality seconds? Anyway, a nice chap from Stoke on trent is getting my cast off trousers. Second chance win.
Monday is child benefit day and I need to get a little left in my account but need to also pay some bits off some bills. So I will do that.
Did three or four surveys last night but loads left in the inbox to do. Didnt manage any comping at all. Hoping for those elusive wins!
Will light my fire today and try harder to get some more stuff done.
Leaving work a little early, taking my daughter to the doctors.
She needs sorting bless her.Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Good news on your h's mortgage.
Not sure what searches are for but would advise you not to give solicitor a post dated cheque as if they bank it early the banks no longer check the dates & in any case are not in favour of post dated cheques.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. Well here goes another day - not long to the weekend thank goodness -with a bit of a tough afternoon evening under my belt yesterday - and I ended up being bought a bottle of wine and having a couple of glasses.
Well, I spoke to a nice lady in FOS however I am concerned and upset that this is still dragging on. The longer it remains unresolved the longer I get nasty letters and things from debt collectors and I am losing confidence in my case as time passes...
Took my daughter to the doctors, she has bad psoriasis, rhinitus and carried a shopping bag of medication home.
My husband suffered a hiccup with his mortgage application so we need to go elsewhere. Despite green ticks on all his commitments it seems he doesnt qualify at Natwest. So we shall see what happens today.
No new money in my account and I have ebay to post so I have asked my husband for 20 pounds.
Will formulate a plan to get back on track!Trying to shift that debt!0
