The LED Toothbrush being promoted is undergoing independent clinical trials; similar clinical studies were ascertained and concluded in Russia. The initial study was conducted at the Eastman Dental Institute, London.

Lovely, please direct us all to the published/peer reviewed results from UCL? It is important for people to be able to back up medical claims, which is why the testing methodology and scope is important, which is what the paper can provide.

No offense, but a lot of woowoo sellers do a bit of handwaving and make claims much like 'clinical trials were concluded in Russia' which says nothing. It is a common tactic to misquote trials whether through lack of understanding of how science works, or just to plain sell stuff. If the light-up toothbrush has real statistically meaningful results, I will celebrate it widely and publicly, so don't feel shy - share the papers/evidence!

Fascinating would you like to publish the results of the initial study at the Eastman?

Whilst we're on the subject do you have anything to say about the first prosecutions of people running clinics that offer tooth whitening by people other than dentists. Eg smilestyle for illegal practice of dentistry?

Have you anything to say about trading standards indicating that dental supply companies should not sell whitening products to anyone other than dentists ?

I do hope the research you quoted at the Eastman wasn't the 1990 study on PDT (photodynamic therapy) .

This is where a light sensitive drug is activated by certain wavelengths of light and is used in cancer therapy etc. The drug is what does the work not the lights.

There is a world of difference between this and a toothbrush with two light bulbs in it.

I wonder if the rebranding from smilespa has anything to do with the following sorts of expose?

  • Surely sitting in the middle of a shopping centre, having dental treatment by someone who looks like their 18th birthday was a few weeks previous should set alarm bells ringing.
  • Oh well guys, I was somewhere called holiday with my gorgeously white teeth but never mind. All I did was to state my opinion as I've been looking for people's opinions before I went there myself and if you can't handle that then that's not really my problem.

You'd think so, wouldn't you? When having any sort of permanent alteration done to your body, the 1st rule is that good work is never cheap and cheap work is never good!
Public appearances now involve clothing. Sorry, it's part of my bail conditions.

Wow, this ad is so bad its almost funny.

The fact theyre looking for "attractive people with good sales experience" tells you everything you need to know about this mickeymouse club.
