The point is, OP, assuming your initial rant was for real it has come across as its not fair and I will scream and scream and scream until I'm sick.

The rules are there for a purpose and assuming that you and your partner are genuine, you will climb over any hurdle placed in your way and the first hurdle for you is your age - or lack of it.

What does worry me though is that although you claim to be mature enough to adopt a child (and heck I'm more than twice your age and I don't think I could cope with emotional baggage an adopted child brings) your posts show a distinct lack of maturity.

So go away mature and then, when the authorities deem you old enough, hopefully you will be mature enough to bring a child up.

Oh and one last word of advice - liars have to have good memories.

TBH op, I doubt any of the adoption agencies would accept you anyway, if this is the type of behaviour you deem as mature enough to be ready for a baby then i for one am rather glad you are unable to have them at this point in your life. I think it might be wise for you to quit whilst your behind, and do some soul searching and some honest reflecting on whether you are ready to be a dad.

I think the reason people are concerned is that your post smacks of 'I want a baby and I want it now' which does feel a bit like a teenager who wants an ipod or a new car. Maybe this isn't how you intended it but really a year is not a long time to wait for something so important.

In fact a year is not much longer than the traditional way! (and i you include trying and pregnancy it can be well over a year!)

I can completly see that point :) What the post was meant to do was not about me lol, I wanted people to debate on wether they thought the age in which you can adopt should be lowered/highered that was all, I think the thread has turned into a monster and not what it was intended to be. Although it is not I want one now and I will get it no matter what, I see hopefully getting a child in the next few years, I say hopefully as I dont know, but I do believe if its meant to be its meant to be, Just trying to think about everything and cover all angles thats all :)
