    Oh, found this:

    AMMultilitter.jpg

But despite pretty box, would nto pay that much, it is only 12kg and costs £13.27 plus it is out of stock LOL

I am really curious about that 15kg bag you got from Pets at Home for £9.55 as it works out really well price wise....

This is where they come from:

But all links go to PAH 7kg bags :(

Waw, emailed SharplesGrant about an hour ago asking where can I get 15kg bags online and already got a reply - I like that speed :)

First linke at £8.99 for a 15kg bag, it is not multilitter but I guess it will be as good as multilitter - I hope?

Wonder what delivery is like....ops, found it £5.35 if you order one bag.. grrrr wonder if they do free delivery with more bags? Can nto find the info....

    Oh, found it:
We offer FREE DELIVERY on orders over £45 to the MAINLAND UK only.
Providing the order weight does not excede 30kg.
Cat Litter and Bird Sands are excluded from this offer

OK, can someone explain any logic in THIS for me.

Litter called "multicat", comes in 7kg bags or in 12kg plastic buckets which although pretty looking - bring the price up to £12.99 per 12kg. If you bought 2 bags of 7kg that would give 14kg at £12 (at £5.99 per bag) so buying bigger pack is more expensive because of the silly expensive packaging than buying more smaller bags.....

I have to say I scratch my head over this one as "multilitter" suggests more cats at home so bigger bags needed and in simple, cheap packaging, yes or no?

I would like to be able to buy one large bag, 20-30kg (for a month) and not in small bags, just one big bag - and I want it cheaper than buying multiple small bags

    Grrrrrr
  • First of all, huge apologies for not replying sooner:o.

Went to PAH on Weds with a sample of the old and new litter and they agreed it looked very different. They're going to put in a customer complaint and I've also asked them to find out if it will be like that from now on (ie won't be buying more) - so I'm waiting.

Meantime, they gave me a complimentary bag (good customer service) - this has brought me back to 2 full bags so even at 2 weeks/bag (instead of 4), I've got enough to do a month.

I do like the look of the multi-litter but the small bags are putting me off - costs a lot in fuel to go so I'd have to get LOADS to make it worthwhile.

Funny how some PAH seem to do the big bags but not others (mine incl) which is a pain in the behind:(.

GettingReady - I know what you mean about shops selling larger bags/packs of stuff and it working out more - you've got to check everything nowadays. I was looking at rice in one of the supermarkets the other day and the 1kg and 2kg ones worked out more than the 500g packs.

So, think I'm going to order a bag of the Biokat (I get 2.5% cashback through Zoo+ so can make a bit of a saving there)! Also looks like you get free delivery if you buy 2 which is great!

    Keep the suggestions coming!

One other quick thing - both cats I've got now have always had wood litter, any tips for changing or do I just do it (without problems occurring)?

  • Just as another moan ....

It really annoys me how some companies sell/package it as Kilos and others as Litres - I've no idea how to compare the 2, does anyone know?

  • Arrrrrrgggghhhhh looks like you need to "sign for" zoo+ deliveries - that's that idea scuppered then.

We have recently started using sophisticat from PAH it isn't too expensive and is lasting really well for our 2 mostly indoor cats. It is quite chunky so they can't track it everywhere and it seems to reduce the smell. It is non clumping and easy to scoop.

Only downside is it has turned my cats white feet slightly pink!

Zooplus is free delivery over £19 - 2 bags of Biocat fits in that and Biocat is really nice.

Multilitter - PAT does free delivery over £29

I hate those litres on ones and kgs on others too so feel your pain.

Biocat bags are 15kg each, one bag lasts me 2 weeks with 6 cats so about £5 per week for me.

Multiltter is in 7kg bags, 1 bag lasts me almost a week with my lot so aboutt £5.99 per week or more like 6 days.

At the moment Biocat works cheaper.

Got some new one recently, from Zooplus but can not remember what it is (in the shed, waiting to be used) but it was about a tenner for 15kg too so will report when I open/use it.. I mean when I open it and when CATS use it LOL
  •:eek::eek: had visions of you with a large tray testing it out!:eek::eek:

I may see if DM would take a delivery from Zoo+ and I could collect it the next time I go down (prob couple of weeks) - really annoying companies who only do signed for deliveries.

I also thought this one may be good:

  • Sorry, another thought - one of mine isn't good "at burying" (one of the reasons I've stuck to wood) - will this matter/make more smell etc?
