Thanks for the reply, we had 10,000 points for registering-quickly ordered our first voucher so our balance was zero but I thought from then onwards we would receive 1100 for the barcodes and 500 for receipts. The barcodes definitely transmitted because the clicker beeped for a while then the message box popped up saying we had transmitted 50+plus barcodes for that week. Maybe it is only 500 points for the first week. Will keep an eye on it and hopefully they'll respond to my query
Thanks again for the response
Hi I've been a member for over a year now and I've noticed that there is a delay between points for your barcodes and receipts which could be upto 24 hours so no need to panic yet.0 -

Hi
I was wondering if anyone could help me please. I've recently just had an invite after a 3 year long wait (Sad...... I know)But I can't seem to get past the first registration process. I enter my invitation code, and when I confirm I want to download the software, it doesn't go through. Am I doing something wrong? I've read it only works on Internet Explorer and I have firefox, could that be the problem? Also does the software clog your p.c up, by this I mean make it slow and unresponsive as many softwares do!
Last question, I don't really understand what the reward scheme works like, do you scan barcodes of items or reciepts. So...... confused!
Thank you for reading, any help appreciated!0 -
Hi Shanelle
shop and scan only works in IE 8 or above, it will not install in FF.
So for shop and scan only, I would suggest installing IE8.
I have IE9 and it is very slow and drags, so may down grade.
No the software does not clog up your system. It is very unintrusive, if that is a word?
You need to scan your items that you purchase, does not matter where from, using the scanner they will send you. They will also send you a book, you need to keep this and use it, as you need to scan your barcode, anyone else you have included on your application, that buys anything.
Then you have to scan the barcode of the shop you have used, ie Boots, then the amount spent, they have a barcode for it, and then finally the barcodes of all your purchases. If you wish to gain the extra 500 points a week, you also need to scan your barcodes and then upload them.
Once a week you need to transmit your barcodes to TNS and then about tuesday you will receive an email to tell you if you have successfully transmitted your barcodes, you will have earnt 1100 points. You need 10000 points to qualify for a voucher.
The list of vouchers available is a few posts down.
You only scan the barcodes on the items.
HTH, anything else you are not sure about, just ask0 -

I think you have to wait to be invited to Petrol Panel, not sure if it is in the book, petrol stations? Might be worth seeing if it is and scanning a few receipts for it? Make sure your profile details are upto date.
Consumer Pulse, you have to wait to be invited to, you cannot just request to join.
However for webview I emailed them using the contact us box, saying I would like to be considered and also for other panels, ie the Food Panel, Consumer pulse.
They invited me to join webview sent me the link and all set up.
So try using the contact us box and ask about how you can join too. And wait for their reply. At least if you register an interest, they know you want to do it.0 -

I would assume so, because they would still be able to match the barcode details to your barcode for shop, esp if you buying own brand products. NO harm in trying.0 -

Thank you for the reply Aesop! You've been very helpful! :rotfl:
Think I'll take up that offer of extra help, Just one more question
I use firefox as my primary browser because I've had a nasty virus prone experience with I.E, and it seems to conflict with all the websites I like to go on.
Do you think that if I use I.E for shop and scan and firefox for my normal browsing it'll cause any problems, as the old I.E I had was so slow and unresponsive and it used to conflict with Firefox all the time,if that makes sense...
Btw, sorry for bombarding you with queries I do realise you're not technical support, but you seem very wise..... :cool:0
