I do it the same way as you - scan the item, scan the multibuy code, then scan the next item that's the same, then the multibuy code again and then continue with the rest of the shopping. I haven't got my book here but I'm sure that's how they said to do it.

That is the correct way. I asked them when i called last night.

Has anyone got any free referrals left for the panels? I noticed people posting a few days back saying they had, if anyone has could you send me a PM? Big thanks! :)

Thanks all for the confirmation on Multi-buy scanning! I didn't even think to look in the book as I always have it open on the first page you scan and never look over at the other side! DUH!

I applied some time ago based on the good reports from many here.

I was delighted to be finally accepted this week and have just been reading through all the instructions that arrived in the post this morning.

One question please - am I correct in saying that in exchange for scanning and entering all your shopping details each week and scanning and submitting your receipts you earn £1.60 a week?

    I wasn't expecting a fortune but...

I've never worked it out but you get 1100 points a week and 500 extra if you scan a receipt for TNS shop and scan, you need 10000 to redeem for a voucher.

so that is 9 weeks of scanning if you don't do the receipt too.

or 6 weeks if you scan receipts.

not that bad really - some surveys taken longer to earn £10 for cashout.

and no one is saying you have to scan all your shopping.

My DS loves scanning, so doesn't take long.

ah, see where you are coming from. But with Nielsen, you only earn 75 points a week for each scan.

Thats how I understood it. I got my 10,000 bonus points yesterday for my first transmission, then was advised I would get 1,100 for each transmission thereafter. And an extra 500 points for each receipt upload each week. I noticed in the paperwork they sent through that one transmission is required each week to get the points, and this should be done by Sunday night at the latest.

I am with Neilson too and believe me, they offer a lot less with regards to their rewards and the scanning process takes longer than Shop&Scan.

You can boost your points by joining the "WebView" panel - I am already a member of that with Consumer Pulse so cant join again. That does boost the points quite alot.

Generally, I look to get a Consumer Pulse/WebView gift voucher every 4-5 weeks. With Shop&Scan I am looking to get a voucher every 7 weeks. £10 for every 7 weeks worth of shopping is better than what I am earning with Tesco clubcard, for which I accrue £10 every 8-9 weeks.

You could always do what I do, cash the vouchers out when I get to 10,000 points and when you receive them, put them away. They make good presents and you could even save them up and buy yourself something nice at the end of the year. To give you an idea of what I have done with my vouchers so far (mostly earnt from Consumer Pulse) I have re-decorated two rooms in my house just on the £10 B&Q vouchers I keep getting through. So its well worth it in my mind, money for nothing!

And at least with Shop&Scan you get a £10 welcome bonus - Neilson doesnt give you squat :)

thanks for reminding me about Webview! must get some spreadsheets going.

just checked and have received 2500 points from them, welcome boost to my shop and scan :)

with nielsen you have to key in info about the product, quantity bought, value of item, did you use a clubcard, how did you pay, who came with you, was it on offer?

lot more time consuming. But hey it all adds up in the end.

Agree about shop and scan vouchers. someone I know saves her vouchers for christmas, and either buys presents with them or gives them as xmas presents.

    Thank you DebtHater and Aesop.

I suppose it comes down to the fact that it all adds up and doing Shop & Scan in addition to other things makes a worthwhile amount of extra money collectively.

Shop & Scan also seems to be the entry point for other things like FOTG and Petrol Panel.

Personally I shall add my earnings to my Amazon account which will mean that whenever I feel the urge to buy a CD, DVD or book it will feel like I am getting it for free.

    Thanks again,

    Andrea
