DS1 was 2 + 3 months and done in 2 days. day and night
2 of my girls were dry and clean day and night at 18 months.. and they took themselves to the potty without prompting and we very rarely had accidents.. so it is possible... DD3 was 4.. befre she was ready.

In ye olden days they used elimination communication which some people still do.. but they often had more time (no internet :p) and less money

Absolutely it's possible (I wasn't meaning to imply that all children should be forced to wait until they've hit puberty before they learn to use the toilet LOL) some cultures go straight from nappies to toilet and others don't use nappies at all

Our culture has changed dramatically since ye olden days with fewer stay at home mums, more reliance on nurseries etc. It all combines to have raised the average age. Is it right? Is it wrong? Who knows.

    Been answered thanks :)
The forum is for the good of all. Others may have a similar question or concern such as yours.

To remove your original post and replace it with "Been answered thanks" is possibly the rudest thing I've seen here.

Imagine if every poster did the same. The whole forum would read as nonsense.

I couldn't agree more. It's like saying 'I don't like what I'm hearing, so I'll delete my post and pretend I never asked'.

It is a bit rude :(

My twins have autistic tendencies and were scared of toilets. I tried to train them but they would rather wet themselves than go.They suddenly decided they were ready just a few weeks before they went to school.

I'd have been livid if ex had had a GF interfering when we had shared care way back (although he on his own with them is scary thought - he is not the most level headed person) and I'd have been having words
Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession :o:o
