Don't know about other retailers, but you can use ship2me for deliveries to the Channel Islands at Argos:

I'm pretty sure you could do the same with Apple etc.? Not sure of the cost though, hope this helps.

That looks like a handy service, and it's actually part of Jersey Post. For small items (printers, toasters, desk lamps) they charge £10 to deliver to CI, which seems reasonable.

OP - any luck with PC World, who do appear to ship to the IoW?

Although Royal Mail don't charge any more for delivery to IoW, most couriers certainly do.

Perhaps ask a friend on the mainland if they could take deliver and send the item to you?

Last time I needed to send something heavy to the IoW, it was cheaper for me to drive the item to the hoverport and send it by "Hoverparcels" than use a courier. For less than ten quid, the item had arrived within 15 minutes of sending!
  • I went up to London on Thursday and bought something from the Covent Garden Apple store. I complained about Apple not delivering to the Isle of Wight. By Saturday they seem to have changed their policy as I was able to order via the 0800 048 0408 number. It might take a while to get through to the website.

I also wrote to Tim Cook but I doubt that was what did the trick.

Do Apple only deliver to the mainland US? I think not.
If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5? :)
