Hi taxi - I'm late as usual!

I was thinking as I read your SOA that I didn't see anything for 'incidentals' and this has been pointed out, so, I can't really say anything else except maybe keep a spending diary if you don't already to really nail down where every penny is going.

Exciting news re: potentially moving as well!

Oh - one thing actually...any reason why you have two mobiles? I guess maybe it's a work thing or DH phone but just checking....

Hi all...thanks for all the ideas regarding the savings pot....I have just worked out the whole amount to put in each one p/w and that will be starting this week....After putting every single penny (budgeted) for all loans and CCs £100 each....I will have £32.91 p/w left over...I have included a budget of £50 p/w for shopping within this as well..but won't spend anywhere near that...I have I have budgeted £100 p/w for tax from now until Jan to cover what will be due then and also budgeted another£58 tax on top to cover the following year....so £158 p/w so this should cover the year after bill ....£158 until end of jan...followed by £58 p/w and should be in front then!!!!
2 mobiles is one for each of us as we need to be in contact with each other.
I am quite happy with my budgets and will be able to pay loads more off my debts when I go back to work!!!
The moving won't be yet.I plan on having rid of the CCS and remortgaging...doing the house up and then selling so maybe 2 years yet....depends on how much I earn when I go back....

That's great if you can manage to save everything and even get in front with tax when you are still off sick.Just imagine what you will be able to achieve once you are earning again:T

And don't forget your tax should be less next time as you have been earning less with being off work - you may even end up with money left in the bank:j
you should be chuffed with yourself.:D

Just to change the topic - how is the healthy eating/weightloss going? I've decided to try and lose a stone before my op - it can only help.

It's good to have a target to aim at though isn't it? 2 years goes so quickly so, excellent to have a financial orientated plan I reckon.

Hi there...firstly sophiesmum...I was hoping to get in front ..then if I was I could make a lump sum payment of something...healthy eating is going fine and like you say it can't do any harm to try before you go in...
LA totally agree with you a financial goal is great...something to keep me motivated....When I'm rid of debt and loans I want to clear my mortgage off!!!...so I'm going to be here a long time....
I've just done my new money pots on halifax and funded the ones I've just opened....
I must be sad I'm quite chuffed that I've eventually set budgets for everything....I'm also putting the accounts things in monthly envelopes and am up to date with them...

:rotfl: I know exactly how you feel, I'm sad too.... The highlight of the month for me is payday when my salary hits the bank and i can spend the evening shuffling money into all my little pots......it can get quite addictive. OH thinks I am completely bonkers but at least I am organised completely bonkers:rotfl:

I don't know whether it's worse for me or better!!!...I've had to break everything down into weekly figures so get to fill my pots weekly....as my money comes in daily. It's still awkward as my bills come out on many days of the month so am only putting tax ,car expenses and incidentals into my pots I will leave the rest in the current account and pay extra off the CCs but at least I will have budgeted for everything else 1st....

So perhaps we should declare this "national chill out day"?

I hope you have a good one, whatever you may (or may not!) do x
