  • What a lovely day and evening you and DH had yesterday, taxi. Just what you deserved and I hope it's left you feeling really 'chilled' and refreshed today (unless you have a hangover headache of course:eek: ).

Forget the calories, there's always another day for dealing with them. The main thing is that you and DH had quality time with each other and your friends. The fact that it was totally DFW is a real bonus:T .It will do more for your debt-busting than a few hours at home with spreadsheets and bills because you'll be rarin' to go again now if you are in a happy and relaxed mood. Let Tiscali do their worst, you'll be more than a match for them today:beer:

Morning Imp...Thanks for that!!!....So true...as going out has broken the monotony...as for Tiscali...I'm leaving them to get on with it.....she did phone me yesterday and as we now know where the phone calls are....she can do what she needs to do...so we'll see.I'll deal with her as and when she phones....will have to nip out shortly as the rain has stopped now...so that will save me a soaking...lol...

Hi taxi...just catching up, it is amazing how much you miss when you are off the boards for a couple of nights!

So glad you had a good time at the party and the walk out along the pleasure beach. What is Manchester tart? I have not heard of that....I am intrigued! (There's got to be a joke there somewhere though eh? :D)

I hope Tiscali are finally determining what is the elbow and what is the......anyway (!) ....let's hope for the best that it's getting sorted!!

OK I am off to watch a bit of telly now seems I have had to cancel going out :( I am going to spoil myself with a cuppa & some carrot cake.

Take care hon, catch you soon.

    Evening all,
Hope you are all ok...due to the rubbish weather and the terrible forecast for tomorrow...I'll not be doing the car boot...so am hoping for better weather next week!!!!
I have invested in one of those academic diaries(£1) and am planning on getting organised...as in setting times and days to do things...what I spend /take etc...so will be able to access information easily..
I have applied for the capital one CC to replace my MS card...I only get 1/2 % cashback on MS and capital one is 4% cashback....I pay that card off in full each month...so will wait and see but no big disater if I don't get it!!!
Haven't really got much to report as nothing much happening here!!!..though must look into deal with mobile as I think it's coming to an end

Hi Taxi, the weather here has just turned horrid, and the forecast is pants for tomorrow - it is because OH said he would cut the grass on Sunday

Good news on the Diary - I am really pleased with mine so far, and the things it has prompted/made me do. It incorporates a bit of flylady, a bit of me time, and a bit of admin for home and work. Fingers crossed we will become uber-sorted!!

I hope you have a good evening!

Evening Hypno...mine is used for the same things...we'll probably waste all our time writing in it...lol
  • Sorry the weather is too bad for your car boot sale, taxi. There'll be other Sundays( or maybe not the way the weeks are racing by.) I can't remember a worse 'summer' for car booting(weatherwise) and at this rate the 'season' will be over before it really began. Unless you are near undercover car boot sales or ones on hardstanding like carparks(which I'm not ,unfortunately) the prospect of standing for hours in a muddy field with the rain coming down just doesn't appeal:eek: .

I'm really annoyed with myself today though. If I'm booting I like to pack the car the night before because I need to leave the house about 6 a.m.My 'local' sales are about 15 miles away, start early and have queues of sellers waiting to get in at the crack of dawn:eek: . I watched weather forecasts yesterday on all TV channels and it looked like a day of rain/drizzle for us. So I thought I'd give it a miss today and didn't pack the car. But when I got up at 7.30 there was no sign of rain and although the sky was a bit greyish I would have risked it if I'd had the time. It's now after 10 and we haven't had a spit of rain so far. . it may rain later but at least I'd have had 3 hours in which to sell. Never mind, it's Bank Holiday next weekend and there'll be boot sales somewhere local on Sunday and Monday:j .

Have a good week health and wealth-wise

    Hi everyone...well what a shocker!!!!
I've just done my new sig to take into account the new car loan and the bit extra I had on the CC to go for the deposit!!!...My total debts are over £42,000 now...yikes...I would like to see this below £35,000 by christmas...but don't know if I'll manage that but will have a good go!!!!
Sorry to hear about your car boot imp...I think there are loads of us stuck due to the weather..like you say we may have better weather next week....sure hope so....I feel awful about my debt but really did have to buy a new taxi...at least at the end of the year it'll help with the tax ...most of my debt was accrued when we weren't earning much on the taxi...my aim is still to have both those credit cards paid off by the time the 0% ends next year!!!...better get well and back to work...
