    Hey taxi :hello:

Sorry that you are feeling poorly at the moment. It's probably not a good idea to think about going back to work if you are ill right now and feeling down as it will cloud your judgement.

It's a couple of weeks off yet though so, don't worry about it yet - wait till closer to the time and really appraise how you feel.

I will say though, given your line of work - you can't be too careful so if you can afford to take another month off if you think you need to then it might be wise.

HI LA...that was my line of thinking as well..I was thinking taht after doing the accounts(still not done) and running around getting the car pitted etc in the next couple of days and still feeling quite tired that I could maybe do with another month off...but it's not DFW but if I go back too early it could be counter productive.

Take care Taxi - do the accounts, have a rest and see how you feel. Even if you lose out on the money, as you say, it's better that than not recovering fully.

Hi Taxi, sorry to read you have been feeling unwell. I hope you are feeling better very soon.

As for work - don't rush into things. If you are not completely ready to go back then take the time off. If on the other hand you are crawling up the walls of the house, desperate to get back in the driving seat, then go back, but go back at a pace that is right for you - if you can't immediately do as many hours as before, then so be it.

I hope you are having a relaxing evening and are able to put your feet up.

    Hi Taxi
Hope you are feeling a little better. i agree with the others - you shouldn't rush back to work until you are ready, i would imagine your job is quite physical and you will not have done anything strenuous for a while. Make sure you are up to it before you go back, easier to get an extension on sick note than go back to work and then have to go docs and start again with new one.
Any progress with your books yet?

i have started the batch cooking for when I have my op, going to do some each weekend until freezer is stocked then forget about it.(Have access to a spare freezer)I am so looking forward to getting this done and getting over it,hope I recover as well as you have.

Hi everyone..thanks for the well wishes....Sea you'll be up and down I guess...good luck on e-bay...I haven't got a clue on that...Hypno..yes I'm just chilling...I've just had the dog out for a little walk ....and haven't done anything else tonight....sophiesmum...I have made a start but keep getting sidetracked with things to sort out for the new taxi....this will take up a fair bit of monday and tuesday as well as the other daily things to be done...I thing it's all this running around that has made me tired...that...and spending 3 weeks arguing with Tiscali....reported them to ISPA now...that'll teach them!!!...useless gits....they have to respond to that complaint within 5 days...
Glad to see you are getting organised for your op as this will stop you worrying.....I'm glad I've had it done but remember you must take it easy afterwards...do you have a heavy job?...if you do be prepared to have up to 6 months off.I'm sure you'll recover well ..it just takes time...
  • Good Morning Taxi

So sorry to hear you haven't been feeling too well recently. Don't forget you've had major surgery so just take as long as you feel right for you before you go back to work. Only you know how you really feel and I'm sure OH would rather have you back to your 'old' self(only better now the op has been done) than be worrying about you every time you set off for work. He sounds a nice understanding man and, after all, you're doing more than enough by sorting out the accounts and paying off your debts by all means possible. So what if your debts take a bit longer to pay off:confused: ? it's not as if you are starving or unable to afford to heat your home is it? It's only money and health is worth a million times more than that.

Also, so sorry to hear of your ongoing trouble with Tiscali:eek: . No wonder you're feeling under par. While I'm so sorry you're having the bother I can't tell you how pleased I am that you told us about it. To think I was very seriously considering signing up with them when my BTBroadband contract is ended in September:eek: . I wouldn't touch Tiscali with a bargepole now:mad:

Have a restful day if you can. Just do what really needs doing. There's always another day tomorrow!

    Take care

Hi everyone...thanks Imp...do not touch Tiscali..if you value your sanity...I've had an e-mail from them this morning they have finally got the situation BUT they have still done it wrong...they have driven me nuts!!!...so I've had to e-mail them again...thanks to them I have no outgoing calls...I have the wrong package to what I want..they have offered me a £20 credit on my bill...It's annoying as I've been a customer for over 4 years but I don't know who to go with..
Restful day I wish...at 8.30 this morning I had to drop 2 cars at auto electricians(to have equipment took out of one and put in the other)...then a little walk back home I've done washing and hung 2 lots on line and am now going to bank the weekends take...so another walk and need to pick up bread on the way back...then I will have to pick up the cars and put both through the wash and then....when they're here will have to put all stickers on and put fire extinguisher/first aid kit in etc...then I can rest!!!
Tommorrow I have to be at pits for 9am to have it all checked..then down to licensing for the licenses then to the office with paperwork then to dentist and then to insurance...I'm tired thinking about it...lol....
    Wednesday I'm going to hibernate...lol
