Those travel agents are cheeky devils aren't they.
I expect you to go armed with a notebook and list all the differences between the hotels....I'm sure you could wangle some vouchers if the new hotel isn't up to scratch.

The cleaning plans sound most impressive....I even went to Morrisons today to get out of cleaning the house.

Just in case I don't get a chance before you go, just want to say HAVE A GREAT TIME! I hope the alternative hotel is lovely (shame they have had to change it but hopefully it is a genuine reason).

Evening LA..hope you're ok...the whole point of the trip to travel agents tommorrow is to get the brochure to do the comparisons...great minds think alike!!
I hate cleaning hence why I've loads to do....I usually come on here to avoid doing it...lol...
So if I do it tommorrow then I can still come on here before I go...monday the cars due it's MOT so hope it passes..it has to be done whatever needs doing as I have to take the certificate to the council...it doesn't run out until the 14 feb..so I need to do it..here's hoping...I usually have it serviced at the same time but it's only 7000 miles since the last one..so am not having it done

I hope so or else they will be paying for it...I booked ages ago as it's for my husbands 50th

Evening all...well went to the travel agent and the hotel is pretty much the same...I have no problem with the shop I booked it through and they are totally on my side...just a few things missing....I have to do a complaint when I get back and also if anything is wrong out there...I have to inform the rep and she has to give me a written copy...the travel agent says I am entitled to compensation...
We booked the package in March 06...everything was available...I got a phone call yesterday that something was wrong with the hotel...if it was because of a health and safety issue..yes I'd be dis-appointed...but accept it as one of those things...I was in the shop today..so she phoned Airtours and the lady on the other end let it slip it was because it was overbooked...so why was we booted off after booking over 10 months ago...that's got me really mad....best bit...wait for it my travel agent said well I think you should pay them compensation as this was booked 10 months and you've only given them 5 days notice...airtours said well what do they expect..we've given them a similar hotel in the same area..so no compensation..I will have them when I get back!!!!
She has put notes on my file and she's going to be my witness...as I say no problems with the travel agent who booked it at the shop...they can't do enough for me....but I'm over a barrel as I can't book with anyone else as I wouldn't get a refund in time!!!
Having a bad day...did all the washing but no cleaning...also half a tooth has come out and I also need to see the dr before I go!!!
Car is in for MOT tommorrow ..so hope there's no bad news there!!

I hope today has been a better day than yesterday was.

Airtours are cheeky bleeders, at least you had a sympathetic travel agent, I bet she couldn't believe what she was hearing.
