Oh so sorry you have been ill x

I hope you are managing to get some rest. Make sure you don't go back to work too quickly, otherwise your recovery time will be even longer.

    Sleep well xx

Thanks Hypno...I've been in bed 2 days and am still feeling weak...so will see how I feel tomorrow...I'm feeling a little better today...so all I can do is see how I am in the morning but I don't hold out too much hope...I'm gutted as I've had all that other time off work am back just over a week and this happens!!!
  • So sorry to hear you're feeling ill, taxi.

Please don't feel guilty about having to have time off so soon after going back after your op. These things happen, and better to get it out of the way completely before you attempt working again. Although you've been resting at home a really heavy cold can knock the stuffing out of you so have at least one more day at home before you venture back. You may feel a lot better when you're safe and warm in the comfort of your home, but it's a different matter having to concentrate on driving a cab all day.

    Take care of yourself:beer: .
The smiley says 'have a beer' but maybe a Lemsip might be better in your case;)

Evening Imp...DH doesn't want me to go back until I'm 100% either and you are all right...so as hard as it is I will stay off until 100%...so maybe will stay off tomorrow and see if I have any energy for even tottering about

Afternoon all...hope you are all well,
Where do I start?....well...my minimum payment for barclays came out today...so this now means that I've paid £5k off my £7k by christmas challenge..so am really happy with that and am nearly in the £38ks..still a long way to go...and still a long way to £35k but heading in the right direction.
Next Tiscali is sorted at last they have now taken over my line rental and the bills have been adjusted..on top of that the lady phoned me to say it was done and I'm getting £50 compensation on top which I could have as a cheque or off my bill...I chose a cheque so will pay that off something when it arrives.
I've had today off work as still a little rough but definitely going back tomorrow...Dh and I were talking about our holiday and have decided that we will go to mexico for 2 weeks in jan 2009....I know this is luxury but at the end of the day the government is paying..thats how I see it...my £40 p/w is paying for it(lol)
Apart from that not a lot to report at this moment so am off to have a read through
  • Glad everything is turning out so well for you at last taxi, specially after all the hassle you've had with Tiscali. I'm also glad that you stayed at home today as it sounds as if you're now really optimistic about being able to work tomorrow.

Mexico sounds lovely, it's somewhere I've always wanted to go. And by 2009 you'll be so far towards being completely debt-free that you won't feel at all guilty about splashing out on what is a very well-deserved holiday for you and DH.

Well done on paying £5000 off your £7000 by Christmas challenge. I don't know how you do it, you put the rest of us to shame:o and you were off ill and not earning for yonks too!

Take care of yourself. And please give your lovely hubby a hug from me too if you don't mind;)

Hi Taxi, you are obviously feeling a bit better today. I hope the recovery continues, and that you are able to work tomorrow without feeling rough.

If in doubt, though, stay in bed!!

Hello you 2...hope you are both ok..and thanks for the well wishes...it's nice to know people care.
You don't know how guilty I felt writing about the planning of the holiday as most people will see it as a luxury...we normally have a holiday like this once a year anyway and we are not having one in 2008...the way I justify it normally is that we live as frugally as possible...we do not go out drinking nor do I have a drink in the house...we also work 50 weeks of the year and our 2 week holiday is the only time we have off and is really important as we only spend one day a week together...and also I have to have motivation to go to work...lol...
Given DH hug from you he laughed...he can't believe he gets talked about on here....DH still doesn't think I'm well enough to go back to work tomorrow so will have to see how I feel in the morning...he pampers me!!!
I go to WWs tomorrow night so will let you know how I get on....I've been good all week it was easy as I haven't been hungry with this cold...
The way I'm going to save for this holiday is to put £50 in high interest savings each week...carry on putting my tax money away(one less problem) and as soon as I've paid both CCs off which will be may/june at the latest...I will only have the loans left and will put the spends away and save up until I have enough to pay each loan off in full...thats my plan anyway!!!
