In the kitchen (we have vinyl) I use stardrops and a small shake of borax - not too much or you may get a powdery deposit, but just a little, about a level teaspoon in a bucket makes any grease or grime wash away easily.0

Stardrops works well hereI'm trying so hard to be thrifty, but it doesn't come naturally. You lot are an inspiration!JUST LOVES THE O/S BOARD0

I use a micro fibre mop head and plain hot water. Works well here.Resolution:

Don't know if you have pets, but bear them in mind if you do. They walk around 'barefooted' all the time and will often lick their paws so make sure it's something safe. Vinegar and water would be fine but be careful with commercial cleaners - for example, most phenols are risky (especially with cats) and are in many cleaners. A test for phenols is to add for water - it'll make it cloudy.0

I have laminate all through the downstairs as we have cats. Smart price bleach is cheap as anything, I use this diluted in a bucket of hot water.0

I found this on Pinterest, not used it yet but intend giving it a go a the weekend.

We have had laminate flooring laid this week, in our front room and lounge.
I mop the kitchen floor (tiles) with disinfectant and water. Is it okay to use that on the laminate or would something else be better?SPC #1813

I use a mixture of vinegar and dr bronners citrus soap. Which is pretty much what I use to clean everything else in the flat...Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170

I use a little Stardrops in warm water. The only thing to remember is not to get the laminate too wet. In my case that means remembering where the bucket is in relation to my foot so I don't kick it over!0
