Sky have been taking double payments from me for 5 years!

Presumably one gets statements from their bank though?
I only use Sky for the TV but can go online and make changes to my billing, package etc.
People are simply telling it like it is; had the OP genuinely been billed twice for one account, then different advice would be offered. Opening a second account and not cancelling the first AND not noticing for a number of years is OP's fault and nobody else's!
Hmm maybe so in this case.
I have a gripe with certain forum members on this site though and perhaps I was relating it to my own case where there were it was insinuated that I was trying to get out of my contract with Sky or pull a fast one. There are a few people on here who are very cliquey and I don't like it, I know I haven't posted much on here but I've been a lurker on this foru for years. Some people on this forum are in dire need of guidance. I used to think everyone who came on here came on because they needed advice or help in some way - but now having read a lot of replies over all of the threads I honestly believe some people come on here to lord over people who have found themselves in unfortunate situations.
Sorry to go off topic but some of you need to get your egos in check!!
I can't remember whether the OP said he'd spoken to Sky within the last five years or not?0 -
What are you talking about, Sky's billing process is easy to understand. They bill in advance, what's so a**s about t*t about that. Also, I get regular statements/paper bills from Sky, so again you're wrong on that point.I just want to add that Sky have an ar*e about t*t way of billing so it's no surprise that people get confused. I have had so many problems from them randomly cancelling my broadband order three times to them revoking my original quotation that they originally gave me and adding another £13.00 on to my subscription.
The problems lies in the fact that you don't get statements from them, I have a telephone line with them and initially presumed my boyfriend had made more calls than I reailsed.
Unless the OP comes back and states otherwise, its fairly clear that he didn't request the standard house move process but instead created a brand new account under his wife's name, presumeably to get hold of the new customer deals once again, and failed to make sure that a cancellation request had been acted upon by Sky for his old account.0 -

I think you're in the minority here. You will be offered advice, some you may like, some you won't, it's life. If you don't like it, please feel free to use another forum.0
