Don't panic, you don't need a cheque book.

You can just send an additional form of ID.

When you get the paper application pack, send a cover letter stating you do not have a cheque book and then just send another form of ID.

    Thank You so much...

I do have pre-paid credit and debit cards but I can't use them until I have been and put the money on them. So if I was ill I still couldn't shop online and I couldn't give the responsibility of sending my daughter to the cash machine then to town to pay the money onto my card

Well i've been accepted for the Natwest Step account & have recieved my card, I also got my ID back today from Citibank (1 week to the day after sending it off). The letter said they are now processing my application & if they need anymore info they'll contact me & they'll let me know their decision in 15 working days & look forward to welcoming me as a Citibank customer. Hopefully i'll be accepted but I doubt it, will keep you all updated! I also wasn't charged the £10 byt he Co-op for my bankers draft ! Yay

    Good news Tiger :)

Also, Jembie, in my opinion you should really ditch at least the prepaid debit card. Your just being charged to spend your own money. It's not really worth it in the long run.

I know, I plan to after Christmas but they have been invaluable during my Christmas shopping. I haven't had to worry about the crowds in town and everything is bought and wrapped with no sweat at all...plus all the fabby codes and grabbits from this site :D
