Ha..there you are!!! was wanting to quote your name in thanks, but couldn't remember it
You are a great help to people on here, keep up the good work Oh btw did you get your citibank account????
I'm blushing, first time someone has really thanked me other than clicking thanks
I'm just glad to help others as I have been there, well still am there, done that and got the t-shirt. So it's nice to help others.
I have sent off my application a few days ago but I will keep everyone informed. I don't really need the account as I am quite happy with YB and Natwest, however it would be nice to get the cheque facility again. Will definately help in paying my creditors each month as not all are on Standing Order.

Perhaps consider swapping to another bank?0 -
I tried the Natwest and Barclays but they both offered me only basic accounts with no debit card or cheque book.
I have also been turned down by Smile and cahoot~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Thats the same problem I was having with Nationwide, me and OH have a joint account, good wage going in, manage our banking well, but each time I asked they said NO(mind you I don't have the greatest credit history
)
Try some of the basic accounts (see 2nd post for link)Mrs Storeyxx

Try CitiBank ...
http://www.citibank.co.uk ... You can apply online.
Or if you have a Yorkshire Bank near you, go into one of the branches and apply for a ReadyCash Account. Both these banks and accounts will provide you with a debit card.0 -

Oh No, I just went all the way through and at the end it says you have to send a cheque from your present account. I don't have a cheque book and I think I have to pay to have one drawn in the bank :mad:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
