I suspect the existing tenant has exercised their right not to have photographs taken during their residency, which ends in July. :)

I'm assuming it's not the 'bread oven' as that must be the hole next to the fireplace. It's not mentioned in the description anywhere!!

I have an idea what it might be but I'm dying to hear other people's thoughts....:rotfl:

I thought it was a well too. Either that or they're born again baptists and it's a font.

ETA: And I love the way the estate agent has not one, but two close-ups of the "internal feature" ie a cracked lintel? Like, huh?

I like the way the towels in the bathroom coordinate with the kitchen, it is a really well thought through decorative scheme throughout the house...or 60 minute makeover came in and now the easiest solution seems to be to move.

I assumed a well - it's a listed building so maybe they weren't allowed to move the well so had to build round it.

Says it needs work, I'm tempted to actually go look at this one:

I reckon £50k should put the whole place right.

The kitchen looks like an explosion in the Dolly Mixture factory - who in their right mind would do that?

I also love the tire tracks in the garden.

I agree, it's a well, covered over by an earlier extension and now exposed as a 'feature,' complete with glass lid so someone's toddler doesn't do a header into it. Usually, when this sort of thing is done, people put a light down there too. (I was going to say "as well," but that's a bit obvious. :D)
