I know we have a giggle about the lack of taste of peoples' decor on houses which they are trying to sell.

However, I must admit to a guilty secret of actually liking coloured bathroom suites such as avocado. :o Am I alone? :D

Our bathroom suite's avocado (but quite a toned down shade of it) and it's not likely to be changed for a good long while - it's a decent quality suite, fits the decor of the room and it works and doesn't have an evil loo seat that has a vendetta against my backside. I'd rather have it than one of those white suites with the scallopy sinky edges which are my utter pet hate!

Having said that - my childhood home had obviously been done on a shoestring by the previous vendor - we had a bathroom with 4 different sets of green tiles on the walls (one pattern per wall) and where none of them matched properly (so sagey green, with bottle green) coupled with the awesomness of the avocado suite, and burgundy over-bath and medicine cabinet. It was a visual delight!

Perhaps there was a small hole in the wall where a pipe once went through, which someone decided to fill with the expanding foam that comes in can.

Anyone who has ever used that stuff will know just how easy it is to misjudge how much is required......

I was drinking a cup of coffee when I read that post.

My PC monitor's now wearing most of the cup of coffee!

    Tenth Anniversary

That's ingenious - much better than one of those shower curtains on a hoop, the ones you end up having a closer relationship with than with your other half.

Yes, it'll come in handy when the sale falls through for the third time.
