does anyone else keep an eye on local houses that are so overpriced it's not funny? I used to live around the corner from this one, and it's a lovely place but they're asking waaaaay too much for it - about 100k too much I reckon.

PB shows that it's been on for a year, and only reduced by about 2.5% in that time :eek:

These two are local to me and as a comparison... both very near each other but one thinks it is worth 10k more even though it has one less bedroom and it seems to be in worse decorative condition in my view...

In the second property, I particularly hate the wood panelling in the kitchen above the cupboards which appears to be going black slightly - mould? and the forest wall at the end of the kitchen??

I know it's Newnham in Cambridge, but £575k - £625k for a terraced house on the pavement with no parking and tiny garden?

Newnham's posh though, always has been. I've never fancied it though as it's always got bunged up with traffic on the corner - and then there's the rush to the river in the summer ... and some right dodgy stuff goes on in the car park down there at night.

I've had some pleasant summer afternoons leaping in the river down there, sitting under the trees in the long grass making daisy chains. In fact, one of my very few photos from about 20 years ago is a photo of about 20 of us sitting by the river at Newnham.

That's an amazing loss during a period when prices were going through the roof. Maybe sold cheap to a relative, or a part buy scheme? Lack of supply in Cambridge is made worse by the fact the colleges own so much housing.
