So, let me get this right... its only the new 6Gb version which has 18 hour battery life yes? Or, if I order the 4Gb from apple will it have the 18hr battery also? They dont give much away on ye olde apple site

Missed out on the £115 John Lewis offer, but they said they will be getting stock in 10-14 working days. The less than helpful reply from them said I can set up an alert to let me know when they have stock. Couldnt find this alert, so emailed them back and someone else basically said ignore my collegaue he is talking !!!!!!. :)

Wow, I'm a little shocked to see that your last word hasn't been auto censored! Anyhoo, The new Mini's (both 4 and 6gb) have an 18 hour playtime. I ordered one for my wife from Apple direct (4gb with engraving) and the total (after using an £8 discount) was £129.99. Which is OK.

JasonW - I don't think apple check to be honest. You dont even need an nus number which I find a pretty flimsy discount. You have to type in your school or college thats all. I am not guaranteeing they dont check but I doubt it.

It is in fact fraud - the offer is designed for students who generally struggle with money, so its completely up to u, i dont recommend it but i might be tempted if i was u.

    hpe this helps.

I have a usb powered hub that will be playing at surrogate charger, really think it's awful not to include a charger as standard, but there you go! Hope you have some luck getting hold of a cheap 1st gen one. They are down to £139 at comet and currys - you might be able to use another discount to get one cheap?

wow that was fast I just wrote to them regarding their ridiculous pricing of £179 when apple was selling instore for £139. now they seem to reduce the price. good

OK, just ordered the 6Gb version from Apple Edu store.

Well, it would be rude not to as this site is all about saving money isnt it? ;)
