Hi, I have just grabbed myself one, at this price it is a bargain. Wouldn't mind getting the delivery charge back though, where did it say that delivery was free?

I contacted them yesterday by email they were very ncie and offered the refund postage. They told me that there was aproblem with the site, must say they were very apologectic.

Thank you for your recent email regarding order number xxxxxxxx.

Please accept my apologies that you were charged for delivery. We have been experiencing a few technical problems with our system over the past few days which has resulted in certain customers incurring a charge for our standard delivery when it should have been free.

In light of the above information I have initiated a credit of £3.95 back onto your Delta Card account. Please note that depending on your bank or credit card company, this may take up to 7 working days to appear on your card statement.

No longer a user, goodbye folks. PLEASE delete my account. Thank you

  • I have been conned. John Lewis cancelled my order after agreeing earlier on to cancel my delivery charge. I was going to a get a blue mini ipod for £115 , now they are saying some crap security reason and send me a mail confirming order cancellation. When I called the Customer Service they are saying they cant find any reason as to why my order was cancelled (wow wat a help). Dont know wat to do now. They have run out of all the mini ipod also. :(

Go to the apple shop https://www.apple.com/uk, if you have an educational discount and use the £8 voucher it comes to £118.68 - and that has 18 hours battery life, free laser engraving - but no AC charger- I'll be powering mine by USB so not a problem.

The guys who already has bought the ipod mini 8hr charge version dont worry there is a software update link in the apple website which will has:

    -Support for second-generation iPod mini
-Support for charging and syncing over USB with Mac OS X v10.2.8 or 10.3.4 or later

    so enjoy

I prefer the older version becoz every time I need to charge it I dont need to carry a computer with me since an AC adaptor is provided with it. Good for those long journey's out of home.

I have a usb powered hub that will be playing at surrogate charger, really think it's awful not to include a charger as standard, but there you go! Hope you have some luck getting hold of a cheap 1st gen one. They are down to £139 at comet and currys - you might be able to use another discount to get one cheap?

So, let me get this right... its only the new 6Gb version which has 18 hour battery life yes? Or, if I order the 4Gb from apple will it have the 18hr battery also? They dont give much away on ye olde apple site

Missed out on the £115 John Lewis offer, but they said they will be getting stock in 10-14 working days. The less than helpful reply from them said I can set up an alert to let me know when they have stock. Couldnt find this alert, so emailed them back and someone else basically said ignore my collegaue he is talking !!!!!!. :)
