1) little rolling smileys are puerile.
2) can you explain why i have deluded? no one is denying that the scottish government took the decision, but is it your argument that the uk government did not do everything that it could to facilitate the release, and that the cabinet secretary's report is just a load of rubbish.
if so, then since you're so keen on evidence, what evidence are you basing this on? or is it just your view, backed by no evidence whatsoever, and, in fact, contrary to the established evidence?0 -
it doesnt matter what the british government wanted. westminster wants alot of things at home and abroad, but the point of the matter is that the final decision on his release was with SNP so why did YOU bring westminster into the argument??? THE FINAL DECISION WAS WITH SNP NOT WESTMINSTER,NOT TONY BLAIR, NOT GORDON BROWN BUT WITH THE SNP. is that simple enough for you. it doesnt matter if any report says westminster wanted it also.FINAL DECISION WAS MADE BY SNP . westminster wants alot of things but has no power in the outcome.
it was only when the snp leader was getting blamed for the early release that he started saying "the british government wanted it too" . thats just a cowardly way of trying to pass the buck.
it was really funny watching him on the news last night saying we want independence but we will still keep the queen as head of state and still keep the british pound and be part of the armed forces. PMSL:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
that basically means you will never have independence.:T:T:T0 -

so, in conclusion, it is actually you who has no evidence to back up what you are saying. also, for someone who was bored of this long ago, it is strange that you are so excited about it that you have actually wet yourself.that basically means you will never have independence.:T:T:T

i
that's just complete nonsense - the government have always explained their reasoning behind the compassionate release.
Alex Salmond's comments on his vision for independence made perfect sense to me - he's playing the long game, and has done for a long time.
I can't understand why you're so interested in this when you clearly have very little knowledge about Scottish politics.0 -

Interestingly I wonder how the people of Wales feel that their country is not represented in the Union Jack.
Would they be happy (let's presume) should Northern Ireland become independant / republic and seperate from the Union, leaving the Union of England and Wales to be represented by the St Georges Cross?:wall:
What we've got here is....... failure to communicate.
Some men you just can't reach.

The reason Wales is not on the Union Jack is because Wales has at no point in its history been an independent sovereign state.0 -
At least if they slapped a ruddy great dragon in the middle of it people wouldn't constantly hang it upside-down.0
