I doubt my Mum will still have that, she's not the most organised of souls!
LegalBlonde, I love the 30 Day Shred, I'm in a little challenge with some other ladies to do it in July! I did it before my wedding too (also starting too late so not actually having the full 30 days to do it before going away!) and I noticed a big difference. I thought I'd die after the first time but it is incredible how quickly your body adapts and changes.Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

:rotfl::rotfl:So did I! And I did have trouble standing up in the shower as my legs were so shaky. But, by the end of the first week, it had become much easier and I found my fitness level had increased dramatically (first time in months I was able to run for the metro or train without wanting to collapse afterwards! :rotfl:).February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
I made the mistake of really going for it during the squats... I couldn't walk up the stairs the next day! :eek:Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0

It's not just about whether you ever had the Rubella jab (or the actual illness) that they want to know - they recommend that you go and get your immunity checked before TTC (although they do it once you actually are pregnant as a matter of course too) because, like one of the ladies said, it can be dangerous to your baby if you come across someone infected while pregnant. You can have had the jab/disease and not have enough antibodies. However, if your test (when pregnant) shows that you don't have immunity, you can't get the jab until after you've given birth, because it's a live vaccine (which could also harm your baby) - so you have to have something like a month between the jab and TTC.

Oh and Euro, you need to check the particular antihistamine with your doc. There are a group of them (which tend to get lumped in with the others to the not properly in-the-know) which are contraindicated with pregnancy. Others are fine. Mine is listed (on safefetus.net/com/co.uk can't remember which) as category C, but in fact is fine - for example. Asthma inhalers are pretty much never contraindicated in pregnancy, as the baby needs you to breathe for it

I'm very apprehensive about taking contraception - be it in pill form or implant/coil/injection because if it fails and I conceive again I am at greater risk of a second ectopic and like you say I will be scanned from the second I find out I'm pregnant all through the first trimester so I'd rather find out the minute I'm "late" rather than 2 weeks later (like I did this time round)
Try giving natural family planning a read up. We have been following this for 3/4 months now and not fallen pregnant ... yet ...! Basically we use condoms pre ovulation and then nothing from the 3rd day after ovulation.
We just has rumpy pumpy on day 3 this time whilst on holiday. Never done it on the day 3 so better see if i'm pregnant of not this week if period comes! lol.0 -

I looked into the courses. I rang the drs surgery they had no idea. I rang family planning at the hospital and they didnt know either but suggested speaking to a consultant there?! Its very expensive to go private. So I jsut read up thoroughly and then charted my cycles for 2-3-4 months before we started so I knew roughly when I ovulated and how to temp.
Temping and knowing when you ovulate are the key!
Sorry all this has been said before! I'm reading back and repeating lol/0 -

LegalBlonde wrote: »I totally share your aversion! It was a great idea, from someone here, to go off the pill in May to get it out of my system but OMG they are so weird Lol I also get very embarrased buying them, they are 2 packs of 12 for £10 at Boots at the minute but I still can't bring myself to be seen to be "stocking up" lol I also make sure my engagement ring is on show when I do buy the puny 3 pack, lol you would think I was in 1811 not 2011!
Ah now you see I dealt with the pill for over a year. So when it came to condoms I told him if you don't want a baby now you by the condoms :rotfl: So he used to get them and put in the trolley at sainsburies right in the bottom :rotfl:0 -
That's interesting about the Rubella and having to wait a month after having a jab before TTC BigZippy, thank you! I knew you had to get checked, but not what happened if you weren't immune!
Really interesting about the natural family planning too, although I don't think it'd work for us really, we tend to just stick to weekends due to OH working late during the week, it's going to take quite a bit of effort (and late nights for me!) to BD on the right days whilst we're TTC!
Hope you had a nice holiday Rebekah!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0
