Not too long ago, euro went through a similar thing. I don't think Euro was saying don't post on there at all :)

I seriously thought I was pregnant for about 3/4 days this cycle, as my period was late by that many days.

I got my hopes up a bit. But I tried to wait it out before testing, as have been through this before. But, on 4th day, I decided to test with FMU and it was negative. Typically, the witch showed about, literally, 4 hours later! B'tch! I hate the witch!

Though, I did get a chance to try out the Mooncup. Took a little getting used to, but I love it now. Soooo pleased I got it!

My OH and I have been together 4 years and I am ready to TTC, but he isn't just yet. I know his reasons are sensible (no money, nowhere to live, he's still taking exams), but my maternal instinct has gone into overdrive in the past couple of months. My initial plan was to threaten no BD until he was ready, but tbh I'd probs give in first! So we have come to an arrangement where I am having my implant out next week and if he doesn't want a baby, he can be responsible for making sure it doesn't happen.

Ohhhh- hello - just discovered this thread today.

I got married in June and would LOVE to start TTC straight away. Hubby though wants to enjoy married life for a bit first (easier for me isn't it, they don't have to worry about the old Bio Clock ticking away - I'm 30 bt OH is 34). We've compromised on starting to try around Xmas but I'm hoping on working that back to Nov, maybe even Oct!!!! Still on the pill and worried its going to take ages for my body to get back to normal cycles as I've been on it for pretty much 10 years now.

Weirdly, I'm worried I'll have problems conceiving. I don't smoke, I'm a healthy weight and there's no reason why not. Its just all my friends have already had babies really easily and statistically one of us will have probs - and I'm the only one left! Silly to worry really.

    Anyway, hello!

    Hello and welcome :D

I do think it can be easier for men yes. And I don't think they tend to worry about fetility either. Most men I've met just assume they will have super sperm. My OH certainly does. He has no reason to believe that, but then, I guess he has no reason to believe he'll have issues either.

You could always come off the pill, and use a non hormonal contraception between now and Xmas. I came off the pill Jan/Feb time (i think...lol) and had a copper IUD inserted instead.

Don't pay attention to statistics. Life doesn't work that way. After all, everyone in your group of friends (including you) could be absolutely fine, but another group has a high number who struggle. It's swings and roundabouts and 30 is still pretty young to start trying. I currently know 3 women, all over 30 who are pregnant and one of them wasn't even trying.

You won't know until you try, and you've only got 4 months to wait! YAY!

I know that feeling. In the same(ish) boat here, but had a copper IUD inserted instead.

Just waiting, waiting and more waiting on his job situation to improve/change/be clarified.

I do love that pic though! Shows how much fun you were having :D

I love that pic too :p

For those who are relatively new to the thread, I got married in May this year and we brought three bottles of my favourite rose to the venue as they didn't have a rose we liked. As I was the only person having drinks not from the bar, it was becoming increasingly difficult to find an empty clean glass as the waiting staff kept 'cleaning away' my 95% empty glass. At about 10.30, I said "if no one gets me a glass, I'm going to have to drink straight from the bottle." So my brother-in-law did the decent thing and got his camera. It was a posed shot, I didn't actually drink from it, but it apparently sums me up completely. It's one of my favourite pictures from the wedding. *note to self - set it as facebook profile picture*

Particularly broody today as my brother's been emailing me pictures of his youngest today :o

I'd actually changed you a little while ago - sorry!

I think the style of dress that I'd like to get for the wedding will be fine as if I were pregnant, I'd only just be (starting in March / April, wedding in May) so I might just bite the bullet and buy it. I'll cross the 'alcohol' bridge if I come to it! The difficulty is that the photo of me drinking straight from the wine bottle at our own wedding has become infamous in our family. They all know I drink rose wine! Pfft

Don't be sorry it is the truth lol after all the waiting to TTC can't believe I can remove the waiting now, it still doesn't seem real.

Although I got married nearly a month ago this week has really felt like the first week back to reality and on agenda so I feel TTC is only starting (even though I have ov once already as in my previous post!!)

COMP I always wonder about the "alcohol" bridge I think I can cope not drinking as have before for various reasons (driving.antibiotics etc) but it is those first few months when you don't want to tell the world.....the least of my worries right now I suppose!:rotfl:

To all newbies or lurkers (hello there lurkers, I lurk 90% of the time too!) you ARE in the right place :)

:rotfl::rotfl:I could have made that comment about the mates having perfect babies really easily, it's exactly how I feel! There is a group of 10 of us girls who all went to Uni together and the number of times I hear a statistic and then work out how many of us girls will be effected...its so silly really :o
I'm also convinced I'll have trouble TTC as I'm 34, but like you, I don't smoke, have never had problems..ahem.."down there", am a healthy weight, don't drink that much (now ;)) BUT I still want to start trying now, just in case we need help!
Welcome to all the newbies :hello:

Mine get like that, and then OH tries to cop a feel and is met with the 'death stare' and me saying 'touch them and die!' lol :rotfl:

Thankfully, he takes it well and understands why. lol

Lmao - love it :rotfl:Well me and hubby had a 'bit of fun' last night for the first time in weeks - my boobs are the most sensitive part of my body in general and he can seriously just, ahem have some fun with them and well erm let's just say that that on it's own makes me a very happy girl :D But last night, wow there was no way he could touch them - I seriously think I would have bitten his hand off if he had!
I might have a nice soak in the bath later to try and ease my little ladies x

ZCrat46-just read on another thread that you met your DH on muddymatches-how cool! Not only did I meet my DH online too (tried muddymatches but met him on Match) but my friends cousins own muddymatches! I went for an organised meal thing with them a few years ago, the girls who started it were lovely (& found out to be my friends cousins!) and friendly and I had a really nice evening.
It's lovely to hear a success story!
