Great news - just phoned Citibank and my account has been opened!
The Welcome Pack was sent on the 8th Jan so looking forward to receiving that.
Not sure if I've got a cheque guarantee card but don't really care as I've got a VISA debit card - which I hear looks rather sexy!
I would advise everyone to apply for one of these accounts if you struggle to get a debit card elsewhere.
Great start to a great year!0 -
I too have the account, not got that bad a credit rating but I was pleased to get the account anyway0

Have any of you successful applicants had your salaries paid into your account and have taken up their overdraft offer?
If so what did you do? Ask for it or was it applied automatically once your salary was paid in?
Thanks!0 -

Hi, It actually just pays the £1 at first. I asked on the quidco thread and apparently, the £50 goes on your quidco account as a separate transaction and is paid out only after your account is all up and running.
