Recent CitiBank Applicant?

Hi,

I sent my application off last Wednesday with my ID and phoned them up yesterday and was told to call back in 3 days for an update.

I currently have a Nationwide FlexAccount but with only a cash card. I find it so hard to live without a debit and hopefully this account will be able to give me on.

How flexible are Citibank on opening accounts? I had a CCJ this year and it is now clear but I didn't manage to pay it within one month so it will stay on my file for 6 years.

I really hope I get this account!

My hubby has 2 CCJ's and we got a joint account. They certainly seem very accepting.

I received back the ID yesterday and have just called to ask about progress of application and I have been accepted:D Lady couldnt tell me what card I have been given but she said if I applied for the current account is should be a debit/cash card. Welcome pack has been sent out and fingers x'd it is a cheque guarantee card as thats what I have ATM.

I have now received my debit card i am really pleased as a discharged bankrupt i thought i would be stuck with electron for a while yet!
My card doesn't show my account number on it though ,only the sort code is that right?

Hi all, just got accepted yesterday from Citibank, can't actually believe it as even Natwest step account wouldn't touch me! Good luck everyone else.

I'm so hoping I get an account with them - I'm ringing them tomorrow for an update - fingers crossed!!

WooHoo! I got my welcome pack and PIN numbers this morning. Now all I have to do is arrange to get my money paid into there and away I go (Once I have my card of course)

Hi Benj,
my credit rating is terrible, honest! I've been turned down by Natwest and Alliance and Leicester very recently. Best of luck with yours, I haven't seen anyone turned down as yet.
