It's got to be my dress.
I got engaged on 7 May 2011. I've had the dress since the autumn of 2002.
It's an Amanda Wakeley cream silk, bandeau style - very plain but completely classically elegant.
I was in a "designer rejects" shop and it was £10. It would've been rude not to buy it. So I did. Even though, at the time, I was a size 18 and it was a 14. My plan was to sell it on eBay. I never got round to it.
I've lost 5 stone in the past year (and have another couple to go) - and am about 3" away from fitting in my dress.
*does happy dance*We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

Hi double mummy, can i ask where you're getting the flowers from please? Id also like calla lillies. Thanks0 -
Doesn't even compare with Emmylou's bargain but I was pleased to buy the shop's sample dress for £300 instead of getting one made in exactly the same size for £550!
Also getting the church flowers for silly money!
The ladies who do regular church flowers (and I've known since birth) will just put together something a bit more special than normal and in the colours I want for the grand sum of £30!!!
My biggest money saver has to be the videography. My dad n I run a videography company (tho rarely film weddings) so that will be FREE!!Gaffa tape is like the Force; It has a Dark side, a Light sideand it holds the universe together0
