I'm a dedicated baragain hunter, especially when it comes to things which are only requred for one day!

Our wedding is inMarch 2012 and so far I have bought - 3 different flower girl/bridesmaid dresses, all age appropriate, in the sales end of summer sales. They came to less than £100 for all 3, including accesories and wraps. I also bought my youngest son's outfit, all in £20. We got them at Debenhams and it was a spend £100 in the sale and get £20 off, so it really brought the prices down. We found vases for the table decs in Sainsburys - origionally £10, now £2.40!! Also cut glass style tealight holders, 50p instead of £3. I have used no7 vouchers in Boots to start my skin care regime already, saving on the need for treatments nearer the time! Next stop will be a bargain dress for me and suits for groom and older boys (They can wait until January sales!).

I also need to find flowers - my sister used Triangle nursery and loved them, anyone else had any experience? I'm happy to use fakes.

Oooh, and most impressivelywe got our original wedding receptio quote down forn £5000 to £4500!

Just got a fantastic bargain that I had to share. I bought a pair of ivory wedding shoes for £21 on eBay (low starting price because they had slight marks on the uppers). They just arrived and, well, I've never owned anything so fancy! They came in a gorgeous box with each shoe in its own bag, and the shoes themselves are made of ivory silk, with soft nubuck leather soles, and are comfortable even though they're pretty high-heeled. And the best bit for the bargain hunter in me? The price tag on the box is £195!!

I've done a quick search online and found these and other styles by the same designer on Amazon for around £35. Hope this helps someone, because these are truly fabulous shoes! :D

I'm still looking for bargains but so far -

My dress bought on eBay originally £1250 paid £115 including postage and the woman also included a veil! The woman wanted a quick sale due to personal problems and didn't need the dress anymore and just wanted some money towards it :T Absolutely fantastic, you must be so happy!

I love it when I read things like this, you must be so pleased.
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

Yes I was thrilled! It arrived on Tuesday and I couldn't wait to try it on, it fits lovely but it tight on the bust but I do need to loose weight yet :rotfl: I've called a dress shop for alterations and drying cleaning and what I want doing to it and cleaning it shouldn't cost more than £200 so it's still a bargain dress :j just need to find a cheap cathedral veil, shoes and accessories ;)
Saving my pennies for my wedding on 10th August 2013! :D :j
    First date 28/01/2010 :) Engaged 25/08/2011 :D Getting married 10/08/2013 :j

My Rainbow Club wedding shoes were £40 BNIB from Ebay, RRP £75 (style Betsy) I spent AGES searching for a pair of shoes with a fairly low heel! They are GORGEOUS and I keep putting them on in the house to "wear them in" :rotfl:

Also my hen do is a bit of a bargain, £185 each for 2 nights in a 4* hotel in Bristol, with full english both mornings, cocktail making inc. buffet on one night, spa day with a 30min treatment each, and a two course meal on another night, so all my ladies will need to pay for is their drinks (so not so much of a bargain knowing my lot!!). It's through a company called Go Hen who I've used before for a Birmingham hen do for my friend and they were fab. I've paid £49 deposit to secure it for everyone and then I don't need to confirm final numbers or pay until 5 weeks before.

about 5 years ago in the January sale I bought a pair of burgundy satin wedge shoes for £10. They had been in the Christmas Party range at Dorothy Perkins and are absolutely gorgeous. I never wore them and they have been lurking at the back of my wardrobe.

I got them out to sell on ebay a couple of weeks back and realised they are the exact colour of our scheme and the bridesmaids dresses we have ordered. So I think they're going to be my wedding shoes!!

Something a bit different from the usual ivory, co-ordinated with my bridesmaids and our colour scheme, my "something old", and only £10 :j

    Now I reckon that's a bargain!!
