In any event, lots of lovely bullish sour grapes on this thread.
The fact that so much froth has been created by bullish posters making a huge song and dance about
a) a rather obvious non-point
and
b) of something they themselves do an awful lot of the time.

            Extracted from the .pdf Halifax report:
"In our view, the most likely outcome is that house prices will continue to move sideways or drift modestly lower through 2011."
Works for me (FTB). Interest rates are one to watch but that may not even be a problem (for me anyway) if prices continue to be flat for the next 2-3 years which is my expectation. The recent update of information has further supported the assumptions made in deducing my expectation. Let the good times role
