Please. Someone tell me! It's a link to what Nationwide have stated. How is that brit spinning anything?!
LOL. This is class.
Erm, because in his second post he segued (seamlessly I might add) into claims that this represented the definite and obvious beginning of the next leg down?
Other than that it was just raw data...Go round the green binbags. Turn right at the mouldy George Elliot, forward, forward, and turn left....at the dead badger0 -

He said later "prices falls will get bigger in the coming months".
And as pointed out, he lives in London i.e. the least likely place for this to happen.0 -
And if prices were increasing by 10% per annum. you still wouldn't be interested ?
I'd only be interested if I was selling.
I've smelt the coffee.
House prices haven't really dropped at all where I live. I was shocked how much my place went up last time I had it valued 3 years ago. It was nearly 30 grand higher than I expected.
When I bought my investment property my goal was to walk away with 100k profit. It's looking quite possible that figure could double by the time I sell. Just a waiting game.
I wouldn't really care if it did drop back a bit now. The low interest rate has saved me thousands. Money in my pocket at this moment in time is what I want. I'm loving it. I did overpay for a year and knocked a lump off as well.
17 more months under 4% is all I ask.
I feel like Doanld Trump. :rotfl:We love Sarah O Grady0 -
I wonder why if this lot will thank your post or maybe they won't because it showed that house prices were rising..
FWIW, I thanked Graham for his short and accurate reply to your accusation of him being desperate. Nationwide have stated that house prices fell slightly last month, so there is nothing wrong, or particularly desperate in what Graham posted.
I await the predictable response.......30 Year Challenge : To be 30 years older. Equity : Don't know, don't care much. Savings : That's asking for ridicule.0 -
Another one of my predictions coming true, what happened to the "smoother", "more reliable" quarterly figure that was so coveted a few months back? :cool:This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
so let me get this right...He said later "prices falls will get bigger in the coming months".

we've both pulled up Brit on his posts on this thread because he's celebrating house prices are falling but you've just shown they're actually rising in his local area and there is no reason to celebrate. then the usual suspects pipe up telling us that it's not the case... can't these people see how stupid they look?0 -
predictable response?FWIW, I thanked Graham for his short and accurate reply to your accusation of him being desperate. Nationwide have stated that house prices fell slightly last month, so there is nothing wrong, or particularly desperate in what Graham posted.
I await the predictable response.......
do you mean the one that Brit is celebrating house prices falling but they're actually rising in his local area?
or
do you mean the response that Devon engaged keyboard before engaging his brain?

I didn't know where Brit lived until I read some of the later posts in this thread. Maybe he's looking at the bigger picture (that's how it appears in his first couple of posts). Those who obviously don't want to hear today's headline have managed to twist the thread around and somehow tried to make Brit look foolish. Brit may well know that prices in his local area may not have fallen, does that mean he shouldn't post a link to the news from Nationwide, and then express his opinion upon that news ? Just because his local area hasn't followed the national average, does that make his points invalid ?
PS. My prediction was that you'd call me DesperateProf, you seem to like the word "desperate".30 Year Challenge : To be 30 years older. Equity : Don't know, don't care much. Savings : That's asking for ridicule.0 -

here's a few of Brit's threads
A return to 3 x salary mortgages
Buy to Let landlords face extra Margin Call payments
Property prices diving by up to a quarter by the end of 2012
his threads usually come from the same angle, a fantasy angle just like his prediction that house prices would be 50% lower.
he's also admitted to using different user names to try and push down house prices. desperate probably qualifies him quite well.0
