Thanks to OP for detail.
There's a lot of fuss and confusion about what is not even a market leading product. It makes you wonder what Lloyds's motives are behind this selective marketing. It seems to be causing more suspicion, resentment and distrust than favourable publicity.
Some senior committee must have backed this strategy... maybe the new senior mmanagemnt from Santander wanted to bring that banks appalling reputation with them to Lloyds. If the ball had gone in the net it would have been a goal.If my Auntie had been a man she'd have been my Uncle.0 -
Rather pointless challenging me - my post merely shows the contents of the Terms & Conditions (Ref: INOR/0411), rather than the initial letter.
So unless different Ts & Cs are being sent to different customers, speaking to a member of savings would be rather pointless, despite what you say.
Will get this raisedCan I find out my credit score? You do not have a single credit score or rating. Different organisations take different information into account when working out your credit score and may have different scores for different products. (Kindly from Experian)0 -

Surely it can be shown on the website or is LBG/LTSB so desperate for funds that they have to adopt this ploy?0 -
They can't be desperate for funds as they are causing a mass outflow. If the ball had gone in the net it would have been a goal.If my Auntie had been a man she'd have been my Uncle.0

Their quarterly trading statement shows a £6bn inflow between January and March 2011. I'd expect this Vantage change to cost them well under 10% of this, but to significantly improve profit and loss.
While they might be desperate for money, they appear to only want to attract it at the right price. Which is good for taxpayers.0 -
Yep... as a taxpayer and individual personal shareholder that's good news, but I want a good return on my cash as well as my stock investment AND good customer relations. So £50k+ is leaving them soon.
It's good for sending them higher in the worst banks for customer relations chart. They may even top Santander soon!If the ball had gone in the net it would have been a goal.If my Auntie had been a man she'd have been my Uncle.0 -

No, you don't need a letter and code. I didn't get offered the Incentive Saver, but when I rang asking why not, they opened one for me on the basis that I have several Vantage accounts. Haven't a clue why they're prepared to do this when I wasn't selected in the first place.0 -
it would be good if the issue of having to ring an 0845 number in order to simply check the current interest rate could be raised as well.
Surely it can be shown on the website or is lbg/ltsb so desperate for funds that they have to adopt this ploy?
