Jojo, that's brilliant! I was disappointed with the size of the models in simply be - have some skinnies if you must, but do they use ANY 14+??

    This is me:

What I don't understand is that all these so called plus size models in the catalogues, have decent upper arms?! Not a hint of a wing in sight :( I've lost almost 7 stone (going from 19st to 12st) and there is still no way in hell I would inflict my bingo wings on the public! Does anyone know of any decent summer wear (ideally dresses) that has sleeves that go down to the elbow?

Thanks :) It's taken me 10 months, I have another 1.5 stone to go and then I'm done, I think lol I have stuck to low fat food, and exercise. Didn't want to get dragged into the whole points/weighing food thing cos I know what I'm like and I'd just end up rebelling against it. I do eat some weight watchers products (bagels, cakes, crisps) but I don't eat too much fat. I also go to the gym 3 times a week. I cannot tell you the difference it has made to how I feel :D

I can't recommend a dress but was in M&S today and they have got lots of cute little shrug type cardigans in different colours and are showing them over Maxi dresses. They looked really nice and, particularly in the paler colours, not too hot to wear. They also had some crocheted cardis which I imagine would be enough to disguise arms without making you overheat (oh and for other people on the thread, they had loads of bigger sizes in stock in almost everything today - up to size 24)

Shrugs really seem to be popular over maxi dresses - I got mine from Peacocks, saw some others in Store Twentyone, and Tesco last weekend :).

They have things like one leg or two left feet as well (I buy from there a lot as the actual fit of the clothes id pretty good)

    They're all at it....
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

And please tell me how this girl in what I presume is a size 30D bra (which means she is about 25 inches round the ribcage) fits in a catalogue which sells size 14 plus clothes?

Simply Be is owned by JD Williams, who also own Figleaves.com. The description describes it as a Figleaves item, which isn't a +size business. Each JD Williams website has items featured from different publications within the group to maximise sales.

I'm with the PP who wishes some pretty tops and dresses had sleeves! I have gone from a size 30 to a size 14, losing about 14 stone. My bingo wings are horrific, so much extra skin and hate always having to wear a cardigan or cover up. I used simply be a lot when I was larger, a lot of choice but is getting very expensive!
