indefinitely suspended due to p&p rating

Hi i've been selling on ebay for nearly 2 years and my account has now been suspended indefinitely. I have over 3300 feedback 99.8%. I received an email saying below standard and needed to improve p&p and therefore I had selling restrictions placed on my account. I wanted to resolve this by offering free p&p but due to restriction was unable to revise my listings. I therefore raised this with online customer support and had three conversations one stating that my account would be re-evaluated on the 20th April and that if there has been an improvement should be able to list on the 5th May. I queried this again and received an email to say that I should be able to list on the 1st May. 1st May came and I was unable to revise any of my listing. I therefore contacted online support again requesting an explanation as to why I was given incorrect information. They subsequently said that they would look into it and draw up a report. I then received an email saying all my listings had been removed and I could only use the account to buy. Is there anything I can do to appeal this decision. My rating for p&p came down from 2.4 something to 2.08.
Any advice would be welcome.

With stats that low, this was not a shock surely?
I don't know what you can do if you cannot list other than wait for them to fall off, this can take from one month to a year, depending on your volume.0 -
I always find the expanded dashboard difficult to read with the way ebay format it to cut and paste. However if that is the percentage of one or two stars left in that category then there was obviously quite a lot more going on as 22 x 1 or 2 * stars for a relatively small business seller is really quite awful.
Your problem would have been almost impossible to correct as the numbers would remain there until they fell off after 3 months (assuming you were selling enough for a 3 monthly review). Just getting th eoverall headline percentageup would have made no difference, by the time you had the warning letter you were already doomed. Unfortunately once the 1 or 2* had started rolling in you should have taken steps then, so maybe weeks ago, by leaving them to mount up you caused yourself problems.
These 1 or 2 stars are dangerous, I am forever banging on about it on here but I don't think people understand how dangerous they are and I suspect many never investiage their expanded dashboard. Can I ask though what your headline stars were th eones that showed on your main dashboard. If they were good it might be worth yet another phone call to ebay , be contrite and apologetic and see if they will give you a limited use of the account so you can attempt to turn it round.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. what a pity, 2.08% is so close..... but as soolin says, some people don't take notice of their dashboard until it's too late.
Hope you manage to sort it out.0 -
Totally agree sound like another seller burying their head in the sand and gets all surpriesed when action taken. Even if you didn't look at the seller dashboard you must have realised something was going wrong.theonlywayisup wrote: »With stats that low, this was not a shock surely?
You've obviously not read the recent financials reports on ebay then. Ebay is healthy and still growing. Also if the OP wants to move to Amazon they need to realise Amazon are even more harsh on poor sellers.Brooker_Dave wrote: »

I had 100% feedback when over 12 mths, 2 people left me less than 4 stars for p&p so I was banished for selling immediately, there is no appeal and they wont discuss it.
You need to have a 2nd account.0 -

Not sure why you were suspended unless your sales volumes were very low.
I thought when you were suspended that applied to all your Ebay accounts ?You're only young once, but you can be immature forever

It is unlikely you were suspended on just 2 low stars, in your case I would have asked ebay for the actual reason. Trading from a second account while suspended is in breach of all terms and conditions and when caught a seller will be banned for life.charlies_mum wrote: »Not sure why you were suspended unless your sales volumes were very low.

You are correct, banned on one means banned on them all.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Forums are full of poor sellers hard done by ebay.... then you look at it and the figures don't quite match... as I said before when they use they selling ID and you look at the account you can see there are problems.
I'm not certain, but if ebay look at an account and see rude responses to legitimate feedback and silly t&c maybe that influence that decision (or at least the outcome of an appeal?)
Obviously I'm not saying this applies to the posters, but when you hear 2 low stars and you are banned, it just does not sound like the whole story.0 -
You've obviously not read the recent financials reports on ebay then. Ebay is healthy and still growing.
You've obviously not understood the reason for the financial reports on Ebay.
The reason they're still growing financially is because they consistently find new ways to screw over sellers. Having to have Paypal as a payment option for example netted them a bucketload of cash.0
