Well done to the job seekers getting a job, they seem to be few and far between at the moment .Being retired has its compensations (makes up for the knackered joints ).Just back from craft and dare I whisper I have been making Christmas gift tags.I know its only May but the time soon whizzes past.
I managed to get half the porch scoured and its looking good. One wall was pretty grotty with black marks where it had been knocked so it had to be scrubbed I shall finish it off tomorrow then start to paint the skirting board.
Vanish multi-clean paste (the orange one ) is brilliant at getting scuff marks off double glazed doors by the way.Slowly getting things done a bit at a time, but joints stop me from doing as much as I would like but I will get there eventually.
Found some nice pork and apple sausages in the freezer so that will be dinner tonight with new potato's and mushrooms(they need using up) NSD today thank goodness and probably tomorrow as well with luck. Lovely and sunny but the wind is very chilly. Washing all dried at least, may iron it tonight ,or may just put my feet up instead(sounds better to me)
Hope you are all back in to your routines again after the long week-ends
Take care everyone

Spooky - we have just got a new food processsor as well and DH can't wait for the new loft ladder we got from Aldi to be fitted.
Can't believe how fast the big shop we did at Lidl on Friday has been disappearing. I suppose six adults here for 11 days makes the difference as DD came home and used the bank holidays.
Making stir fry with chicken and noodles, thinly sliced carrots, mushrooms, green beans, mange tout, onions and pak choi and a half jar of sweet and sour sauce. Might make carrot and coriander soup tomorrow to use up veg.
Treated ourselves to Ben and Jerry ice cream at £2 and a few bargains like bogof Pilgrims Choice mature cheddar and some crisps and biscuits for lunchboxes.
