Morning All,
Well after a month of 1 depressing thing after another it's time to get back on the OS wagon so here I am.
DP has got some agency work :j, DS back at school & DD at work so have the house to myself at last. Two loads of washing on line, DW emptied & back on, breakfasts & packups decluttered so just having a quick cuppa before seeing if I can find my dining room table (again:o). Sun is out but there's a strong, cold wind so think it will be an indoor day today. Dinner tonight will be spag bol with salad & garlic bread, am also going to make a cottage pie, some american breakfast sausage & some form of kebabs for the freezer. Also need to strip yesterdays chicken carcass & slice the gammon I cooked yesterday for this weeks packups. Think I may need some spoons if anyone has any spare
Jackieg thinking of the family, we lost a young (24)
friend very recently in an industrial accident:(
Hugs, spoons & hi5's all round x

Jaxx Welcome back. Well done to your dh for getting some work! Enjoy your peace.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...

Welcome back Jaxx
No need for hugs, for me folks; but if you are candle lighting or praying I'm sure some extra thoughts for E and her child wouldn't go amiss. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window

Morning Troops
DC1&2 are breakfasted, washed, dressed, lunch boxes made, PE kits sorted and off to school.
DC3 is off to nursery in a minute with his lunchbox, he has been driving me up the wall all morning.
MrT delivery sorted for tomorrow and an Approved Food one done. Will update my sig. when the deliveries arrive.
Wash is on. Need to do the DW later. When DC3 has gone to nursery I need to do lots of little jobs to sort the mess out.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -

*Waves rather feebly from "sick bed" (sofa)*
I can't handle these long weekends - on an ordinary weekend I always overdo it, and end up feeling ghastly afterwards, but 2 x 4-day weekends in succession has nearly finished me off!
I have to be better by Friday, as I have Ted (Border Terrier) coming to stay for the weekend.
Still, we've got a ton of carp out of the loft - lol, I think Mr LW likes using his new, swing-down loft ladder.
It's over 7 years since he wound up his self-employment, so we've shredded all the paperwork he'd had to keep - got 5 or 6 binbags of shreddings to go - also had a clearout of the pint beer glasses we don't need (CAMRA is having them for tombola at beer-fest), and yesterday we bought a new food processor, as the old one is on its last legs, very temperamental now, and the drive-belt keeps coming adrift.
We were going to have another Kenwood, but all the online reviews of the one we liked kept saying things like "flimsy" and "not very sturdy construction", so we spent an extra £10 and got a Bosch.
Today is exactly 9 years since the wine-tasting where Mr LW and I got together; we'd known each other for 4 months, from when I'd started attending Dungeons & Dragons, but neither of us had the courage to approach the other, so Colin (may he rest in peace) gave us a wee push, by insisting that we both go to the wine tasting at his house. The rest, as they say, is history......:rotfl:
I need to do a wee search on OS for how to get mildew off suede leather; while doing the loft, Mr LW came across a suede bag that belonged to his Dad, but it's in a bit of a state. He's anxious to rescue it, so I must see what I can find out.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hello All!
have been struggling to get essay off the ground this morning, but have done more than half now, and feeling much happier! We have someone who helps out in the garden every week - today he agreed to get up in the loft instead as DH needed someone a little more nimble to get at the stuff at the far end and under the eaves...two hours later, we have an empty loft, but a front garden covered with rubbish!! We also discovered stuff up there left by the previous owners...!! Big relief that it's done before we go away to Scotland this later this week. Just means loads of trips up to the tip. Still can't believe how very, very little was stuff we still want to keep! That's all in the conservatory and really doesn't look any more than would normally be there!
Such sad news about your friends DH JackieG - I am thinking of her today.
Need to eat lunch soon ( sweet and sour pork from w/e joint) then off to school for tutoring, back here by about 6.50 and straight on to my evening course! Washing is blowing hard on the line, so my empty ironong basket achieved yesterday won't be empty long!
Hope you all have a good day today.
take care of yourselves.Resolution:

Awww LW enjoy your "anniversary", can't remember what date I met H, it was on my interview for a job in the department where he worked. He was standing outside the building looking shifty and smoking  Still something must have stirred
Goodness that wasabout 15 years ago
Vac put round (even moved the furniture go me :T:rotfl:), mopped floors and hung load of washing out. Debating putting another load on. I love my Bosch WM BUT using Eco Perfect setting to save energy adds a futher 30 mins to an already hefty cycle time of 2 hrs 20 mins to my cotton cycle  Perhaps I should use the freshen up cycle a bit more often but with the kids it's too difficult to separate the really dirty stuff from the not so dirty.......
Pah to living where I do. No decent fabric shops so I am going to have to drag my a** (and my mum and DD's) into Brum which I really didn't want to have to do. Will go in on the train, hope DD will get a kick out of that.
So need to get on top of my jobs today as morning will be taken up going out tomorrow.
OK off to bake some biccies. Honest
Jaxx - well done to your DP
Candy - glad you had a nice time

Afternoon All
Lame Wolf - I know that an eraser will get grubby marks off of suede, as for mildew I have got it off on fabric and shower curtains by rubbing with a lemon and leaving it in the garden for two days - a week if the weather stays dry stays dry but I don't know about suede x
Well went to town and got some fleece £2.98 for a small roll  i can't believe it has gone up by nearly £1 from last year.
Have been peeling spuds and sweet potatoes (cheap in aldi this week so I bough lots) ready to make them into roasties and wedges then I will freeze them, so that it saves money on the leccy. I will also do some yorkie puds while I have the oven hot.
Made 2 loaves of bread and 16 rolls for lunch boxes, and I might make a few cakes later as well.
DH lost a weeks money from his extra job (school cleaning) which is a big hit to us and unhappily it has fallen in this month's pay packet
so we are £85 down added to the fact that his pension contributions have gone up as well due to the condems. Not good when you are on a low wage anyway. He didn't get the condem promised £250 pa increase in wages either
Good job I have a good stock cupboard and am up to date with bills. So it is a NSD month apart from milk, veggies and eggs.
So making a menu plan up for the rest of the month todayBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
