    Morning All,

Before I forget, JackieO thanks again for the recipe, the cake turned out beautifully:D
JackieG how awful, we heard some sad news yesterday about a friend of a friend with a terminal illness, it does make you count your blessings
Lou hope you have a positive day

Didn't manage to post yesterday, the day just ran away with me. I nipped to the tip with the rubbish from the laundry then came back and did some baking. I made fruit cake a la JackieO, twinks which my DS3 insisted on drizzling with chocolate and a large cottage pie.

DH worked so when he arrived home mid afternoon we went to DD to build and fit a new garden gate to keep DGS safe. My DH is very clever and it looked great, they were very pleased. I ended up taking the cottage pie with us and half the twinks, I then left what was left for there lunches at work over the next couple of days:cool: I am just a big softie but I like to know they are eating well.

OS wise the house is nice a clean and tidy from the wkend so just put our bedding in the WM. Its blowy and sunny again. Need to nip to the bank when it opens and keep our fingers crossed that none of the DD bounce:( money is very tight. Could really do with a shop but it will have to wait until later in the wk. Tea tonight will be HM soup and HM bread, might do some hm chips to go with it for the boys. I am doing my best to get back on my healthy eating which has gone by the way side with all the BH and barbies.

Anyway have a good day all :T

    Morning All

JackieG ....What an awful shock; my condolences to all involved x

Cooler here today but am making the most of the dry weather so WM is on.
Everyone has gone to work/school so I have a nice peaceful morning. Will be making bread when I finish on here.

Must pop down to Wilkinsons to get some fleece for the garden today, because we have a frost forecast for tonight and I don't want to lose any of my fruit or veggies.

Apart from that nothing much going on - pretty boring really

Have good days all (((((((hugs)))))) to all in need of one x
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Morning all. Feeling quite guilty here as I had a ton of house cleaning and general organising to do over the long weekend but hubby wanted to go out and go walking etc etc; have been so busy lately that we haven't had much time to do things together so I left the housework and went with him. I had a wonderful time and don't regret it BUT it meant the house didn't get done, it's still a mess and now I'm back to working flat out so I don't know when I will have another time to get it done!
JackieG sorry about the terrible news - always a shock.

Morning all.Hugs for those who need or want one.
Sun is up , bit breezy atm hoping it will drop as the day goes on.Everyone is back to school:j:j.Love having them at home but gosh the bicker.DD went with the hump again so am phoning the education ppl and the school she wants to go to see if a) there is anything we can do as the school are opposing the move and b) if we can go and see round the school we want her to attend..Everyone I have spoken to says that the education board will look at the whole picture not just the schools oppinion so all is not lost yet.Have made her an appointment with the gp for after school today as she is getting so down and drawn that the last thing I want is depression to rear its ugly head. Will report back later to fill you in.
The blinds for the rest of the windows in the house should be here today.I bought some when the front room was decorated and they look lovely.White with a pattern on them verticals. So have decided as they look so nice and keep the glare from the sun out but let the light in then they can go all round the house, and they were so easy to put up.
Everywhere is still tidy from yesterday so nothing really to do , have popped bedding in the wm and about to pop dw on. Ds3 has requested a fudge tart for tonight , dont think it will go with the curry I was planning on making for tea;)
Thats about all today Have a lovely day whatever you are doing:)

Today will be spent mainly in the office though am popping out to Staples at some point for some supplies. I love going to Staples :rotfl:a bit sad but all that stationary :D

Oh I do love a nice bit of Stationery !!!!!! :D :rotfl:

    Morning my lovelies :D

awful night with the kids, DS woke and ended in our bed and then DD fell out of hers and we then all played bed swap so she could go in our bed <sigh> She's still got a very juicy cough and still bit under the weather so will see how she goes today before I take her to Dr's. Want to make sure she hasn't got a chest infection.
Sowed some more mixed lettuce, spinach, carrots and spring onions yesterday. No frost but another one threatened for tonight :(

Off to look at fabric at a local craft centre today, cross your fingers it doesn't cost the earth to buy.....
Other than than need to do some baking and housework.

Saw on the news this morning that with inflation expected to go up to 5%, wage growth not moving and all other increases average family will be £780 worse off. We are lucky that we've come through this recession OK so far <touches wood> but with the rises in food prices and petrol I can feel a bit more belt tightening going on. Need to get H on board with this too (not holding my breath though <rollseyes>).

JackieG and Julie - hugs to you both regarding the bad news you've both heard. Thinking of the families involved xxx

expresso - Take a deep breath, you can get it done, baby steps. Have you looked at Flylady thread? Even doing a bit of housework/tidying in 15 min bursts is better than nothing. Can you get H on board with helping out too???

Ulypool - Hugs to you and your DD, hope you can get this sorted.

Bargainbird - Congrats to your friend x
Hugs and spoons all round. Have a good day OS or not.

    Morning all.

Beautiful, if a tad windy, here today. Bed linen and other bits blowing merrily on the line. Let's just hope they stay there!

For those who are poorly, or received sad news (((((hugs))))).
Get some library books for myself and dd2. Buy bird seed and Stardrops. Had the same bottle of stardrops that have been used for everything since about October.......and that includes giving samples to friends to get them hooked too!!! Be nice to have a new bottle.

Will treat the freezer to a few boxes of veg sausages or whatever from Farmfoods in town, so dinner will be easy tonight. LO beans, frozen chips and veg something for kids and me.
Might bake some hobnobs today. Oh, want to nosy for post-Easter bargains in Tesco. They are usually great for that.

Have a good day all. Especially those back to work.
