Been reading all about these for a few days now and I have to say I'm going to keep my eyes out today when I do the shopping, maybe something cheap to test the system.

One quick question I do have is what if you were to purchase an item and then leave the store and the store changes any evidence for your claims by the time you have contacted cs?

We dont usually leave the store, or if we do its for 10 seconds, realise the error, the straight to CS.

Always go with the CS to the offending SEL.

But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

  • yeh thats what the sensible person in me would do, but then theres the person who chances are would be too embarrased to walk straight from the counter to cs even though I suppose they probably woudn't have any idea when you purchased the item in the first place!

CS have to (or are supposed to) see the SEL for themselves to agree that an overcharge has happened. If it has gone by whatever means by the time CS got to see it, you've got no chance of getting an R&R.

Go with the CSA to the SEL - don't take "It's ok, wait here" for an answer, just walk off in front of them. If it's not there when you get there, back down gracefully - you've lost already, don't raise your profile for a pointless argument.

  • So in other words...tell them and if they ever try to fob you off make sure you get to the sel before they can change it? Would they really be that sneaky?...

Yes and yes. Just go with them. Take your shopping with you.

There are plenty of people on here who have had SEL's dissappear after asking about an overcharge. It probably happens more once your face is known.

  • I'll have to think about that one then if I ever decide to up the ante, out customer services does seem to be busy quite alot aswell so probably would have alot of time to leave you standing there.

While I'm here - does anyone know if smackdown xbox 360 was shown as £24.xx on Mr T's web site last week, as I've noticed it's back up to £39.xx now on the site, as is the Viva Pinata game. May be worth looking out for on your respective travels. Again - both these prices are just gleamed from the web site, I've not been out this morning to check.
